My husband shortly before we were married stopped paying a bill to Thomson Education Direct so of course they took action. Well shortly after we got married a women by the name of Francies called me and was very rude and demanding that we start making payments of just over $140 a month so I agreed and religiously payed every month the exact amount on time.

Well in June I sent a check and by way of honest mistake wrote out one hundred dollars and whatever the change was. However in the box I wrote the exact amount due. Only a few short days later Francies calls me to tell me I haven't make a payment and that she'll need me to make a credit card payment right away of $145 and change (the $5.00 was a credit card processing fee) after checking with my bank I discovered they cashed my check in the amount of $100 and change. I was furious so I called her back and told her that she had cashed my check already and she was very rude and said well I only see a check in the amount of $100!!!

If she saw a check for $100 then why was she trying to charge me the full amount? So I demanded that she refund my credit card right away and she said she'd just use it toward next months payment. I told her I couldn't see paying the extra $5.00 for a credit card payment when I could just send a check. She agreed to refund my credit card but then I continually got calls saying I had to pay the full amount or else!! I have never been treated so horribly for an honest mistake!
