Next to all of the New York state [Sam Ash Music] stores, this one, [located in Columbus, Ohio] to date, has got to rank as yet another one of the most worse sam ash music stores to patronize throughout the [entire] nation.... The [entire anglo american] male staff are a bunch of b*******, [and that's conservative term to use] who don't know anything about the musical instruments and or products being sold in the store, and of whom, do very little work, [to sell products and or merchandise] who seem to get away with sitting on their lazy a**** all day, just jaw jacking with one another, and still getting a paycheck regardless..... Also: It's bad off, that when you're a anglo american male and or anglo american female patronizing the store, you recieve very little help, but: Patronizing the store is even more the worse, when you're a minority male & or female: [Being black, asian, or even hispanic] As it seems that a majority of the [anglo american] male staff aren't trained to be racially sensitive toward minority males & or females: Espdecially when it pertsains to black customers.... IF you're in need of assitance of anykind, [If you're black] everyone who is out on the sales/showroom floor, [who are always anglo males] mysteriously dissapear..... Emerging from where-ever they were previously "hiding out"; [30 minutes to an hour later] but still resisting to render you anykind of assiatance, [when you're a minority male and or female] in anyway, form, and or fashion... Showing pure apathy, for the length of time you have awaited for help....
While i'm sure that sam ash music inc has a "policy", to allow customers to "indulge" themselves, while shopping in any of their stores, [around the country] in your being a potential customer to make a purchase, [or purchases] i'm sure, that they have a zero tolerance policy against discriminatin of anykind, as well as a zero tolerance policy regarding customer service abuse in any form.... Or do they?.....
Like a majority of the the store staff at any of the sam ash music store locations, much of the in store staff seem to be a bunch of airheads, [with atttiudes] and unknowledgeable as to what they are selling, should you be fotunate enough to be able to get help from anyone in the store...... At [multiple] times, they are forced into having to refer to a manual, in order to tell you what it is that you are about to buy....... [That is if, your'e fortunate enough to have a sales person to approach you, so that you can inquire about the product to be bought] At times, they even have to resort to going onto the internet, in order to retrieve information on what it is that you're going to purchase, or will make as a future purchase... [regarding a musical instrument and or supplies] ...... Returning to you with information that you've requested, but with a seemingly annoyedand even semi hostile attitude: Which all seems to be due in part, that you have interupted their lolly-gaging "flow"... forcing them for once, to do their job.....
Calling and complaining to the [so called] "company president" , [Paul Ash] does no good; As he too, Has an attitude of apathy regarding customer service abuse issues, as well as an attitude of apathy concerning racial discrimination by sam ash employees..... With the [negative] experiences I have accumulated in being a former sam ash music customer, suffice to say, patronizing them any further, is not a good idea.... Which seems to hold no major concern with the [current] company "president", paul ash... Who, [once again] has "shown" apathy regarding the issue(s) addresses to him concerning random acts of racial discimination, [by any his employees at any of the sam ash music stores] nor is he concerendd with the matter of customer service abuse issues reported to him...... [Throughout the sam ash stores all over the country] For anyone whom has had similar experiences, [regarding customer service abuse issues, as well as racial discrimination] I would suggest the following mail order sales and services stores:
* Guitar Center [located in 40 states and online]
* Sweetwater Music [Located in Indianapolis, Indiana, and online]
Both of the above mentioned have friendly and knowleable staff, who are willing to help you make that special purchase, and even offer discounts and even lay-away plans for your puchases, no matter what it may be....... Hopefully, this post will be of value to anyone
and everyone who has had enough of abuse from a company such as "sam a*s music", who feelS that just because they are a 80 year old generationally prospering company, selling musical instruments and supplies, they will permit from time to time, random and recreational act of customer service abuse, as well as subtle and even open
acts of dicrimination, when it pertains to customers, who are black, asian, and or hispanic... Demand more as a consumer from a company such as this one, or any company, because, REMEMBER!: WITHOUT "YOU"!; [THE AMERICAN CONSUMER] No business would be in business, [in america] without you, america!... You are what keeps businesses prospering!!!.....
