Mr. Sameer Gupta is a very smooth individual in business. He is so smooth that he could probably ask you to rob a bank and you would do it!! Most people are drawn in by his passion, but "snap out of it" in a relevantly moderate timeframe. Most business people are sincere and value the people that they hire. Sameer only looks out for himself and is willing to say and do whatever it takes to propel himself to financial prosperity; I'll give you 40% commission per client and a week later drop it to 10%.

The problem with his organization (Triumph Telecom Systems, Southfield, MI) is not what it stands for. Saving people money on their telecommunications bills is inspiring and inviting. The problem is that Mr. Gupta tells everyone, one thing to "reel" you in, and changes everything once he's "got you". Even the health insurance captivates most people when a lot of employers do not offer it anymore. Only, that is just to get you to sell your clients from your past the auditing services. Then after the promises of "residuals" that were pounded into your head at the first and second interviews, Mr. Gupta pulls the string on the promises only to deflate the employees by saying, "I need to change the quota by double or you can no longer receive your benefits". What a kick in the a*s.

I am sure that there are other companies out there that are shadier than the operation that Mr. Gupta runs, but they at least start off by being truthful (compensation plans) and do not make it a habit of changing the rules every week. Notice to all potential victims.......... Please do not accept anything less than a lawful agreement (drawn up by an attorney) if you work for this unethical scam artist.

Mr. Marroco,

I am sorry that you feel you have been taken advantage of. It is our sincerest aspiration that we can provide an environment that is conducive to our workers professional growth.

I am quite confidant that the report you have filed was written in a state of anger. With the advent of easy access to the internet, it is easy to file a complaint whether it is accurate or not.

In your report there were a few statements that were true, but not the whole truth. What is truthful is:

1.Yes! You were offered a 10% commission and a 40% commission.
2.Yes! You were offered a health insurance.

What you did not explain in your comments is:

1. Like most sales positions there is typically an incentive to motivate employees. you were offered the 40% as an incentive, not in lieu of your standard 10% commission. Their was a tier of production needed to get to the 40%.
2. Like most companies, there are some qualifications that you need to abide by to qualify for insurance. Typically there is a waiting period.

Would you be kind enough to post the following:

1. How long did you work here?
2. How many clients did you get during the period you were here?
3. Did you ever get any compensation for these clients?
4. Can you provide any sort of proof that these clients paid Triumph Telecom, which was a requirement to get commission on them?

The truth is you worked here for approximately two months.  During this time you only got two clients. Your performance obviously did not qualify you to receive the incentive bonus commissions.  There were certain conditions laid out to qualify for insurance. You were not even here long enough to be eligible. What is also not truthful about your statement is that everything we discussed is in writing. I have a copy of our agreement (drawn by an attorney) signed by you, accepting this position and the compensation plan. Everything we discussed, is in writing. If you or anyone would like to look at it, I will be happy to present it.

The fact of the matter is you are were expecting to get something for nothing. Triumph Telecom has people working, that have been here for years. This obviously would not have been possible if agreements  were not honored and services not delivered. I have honored our agreement, and will continue to do so, but will not succumb to threats so that you can get more than promised.

It is unfortunate that things did not work out here. Hopefully you are gainfully employed in a place you are more comfortable. I wish you the best of look.
