san carlos imports FREE SHIPPING.... for a small $200.00 fee. Fort Worth, Texas

So I went and ordered the Corona Small Wood Hutch and Buffet for $699.00 and free shipping.  Ou
The offer went like so:

"If you ordered furniture, before accepting delivery of your order, please inspect all packages and merchandise at the time of delivery. If damages are observed on the outside package, point them out to your delivery person. A complete description of all damages should be noted on your delivery receipt so we can replace the merchandise in a timely manner. Please refuse all merchandise that is damage. For safe transit, your shipment is boxed and securely strapped to a pallet, and it should delivery to your home this way. If at the time of delivery you notice your shipment not palletized, it's your responsibility to note on the delivery receipt "RECEIVED NOT ON PALLET". For additional delivery information, please go online to our""FAQ" page on our web site...."

Now, two weeks later and before processing my order, I receive an email from san carlos imports describing the delivery procedure.  It says that The fright company will not deliver to my apartment since they don't do elevators,  and that I must pick up my furniture by the truck.  I called them and  agreed to this clause,  but informed them that I would inspect the merchandise before accepting it.  This was unacceptable to san to san carlos imports; they insisted that I can only inspect the  outer packaging for damage and not the merchandise itself, but that and that for a $200.00 fee they'd deliver the furniture to my apartment.

I could not accept furniture without inspecting it because then I would get stuck with the return fees if anything went wrong   And $200.00 for a fake "free shipping"  I was not prepared to pay.  Their posted "free shipping" policy was false!!   So I canceled the order.  Beware of "free shipping" ripoffs!  Sue for false advertisement!
