I contracted with San Diego Kitchen and Bath to remodel my kitchen and adjoining family room. However, I did not get what I contracted for despite numerous requests. Problems include, but are not limited to, the wrong window and framing despite giving them a magazine clipping showing what I wanted, an incorrect mantel that does not match the dimensions provided on the plans that now sits too high for placement of a flat screen TV in the spot I planned, incorrect placement of sink and/or faucet holes (or other unknown cause) so that my faucet is now mounted backwards (the handel sits over the sink opening instead of on the side or behind).

When the owner, Sam Cribbs, came to my home to discuss the problems I felt so bullied and intimidated that I called the police to get him to leave.

I am an attorney and have worked in the home building business for many years. San Diego Kitchen and Bath has now filed a lien against my home so I will not elaborate more.

I'm Sam Cribbs, the owner of San Diego Kitchen and Bath. Mrs.W contracted with our company to do a Kitchen remodel. Part of her contract was the installation of a new window and a fireplace mantel, which we installed per the contract.

Mrs. W was advised to purchase a counter depth refrigerator
but she bought the wrong one. It was too deep and it stuck out into the kitchen. The appliance company would not take the refrigerator back so Mrs. W demanded that we modify the wall [at no charge] which we did. It is quite a process to modify a wall.

Mrs. W wanted us to put in a different window with a larger window sill. She stated that with the window we installed she couldn't set a plant on it. We explained to Mrs. W that we would be happy to replace the window if she wanted another type of window but we would have to charge her for it. Be advised, this window was installed in her kitchen for 3 1/2 weeks before she decided she wanted another window installed. It would mean removing the tile backsplash and the exterior stucco again. Mrs. W also contracted for a Fireplace Mantel in a specified the size. We manufactured and installed it per the contract. She purchased a new flat screen T.V. that was larger than the space above the mantel. Instead of buying the right size T.V., she demanded that it was our fault and we were to remake the mantel.

Mrs. W does not ask, she demands. We did this contract per their plan and we went over and above the stated contract.

I went with the designer to her home to try to resolve some of her issues and also to take some pictures of the completed project, which is standard procedure.
After taking some photos she asked me to leave because she didn't want any proof that her project was complete.

What she fails to explain is that she still owes San Diego Kitchen and Bath, a $10,700 balance on this completed contract. We have pictures of the completed kitchen.

Mrs. W explained to me that she and husband are lawyers, and San Diego Kitchen and Bath can't afford to sue her for the balance. In this respect she is right.

We have done over 50 million dollars worth of remodeling San Diego and we have never had any customer like Mrs. W. SHE rips off our company for $10,700 and we become the bad company. It doesn't seem right. San Diego Kitchen and Bath enjoys a very steller reputation in San Diego and always will.
