This dealership sold me a truck that they previously bought at auction. During the purchase, I specifically asked about the vehicle history, esp. involving the frame. Sales rep produced a clean CarFax report for the vehicle.
After purchase, I discoved that this vehicle has a frame damage announcement so I contact the dealership. General Manager Russell Anderson tells me that there must have been a mistake because his dealership does not deal in frame damaged vehicles so he would look into it and get back to me.
Russell Anderson then gets back to me admitting that his dealership made a mistake by knowingly buy this vehicle at auction. He stated that since his dealership has a "relationship" with CarFax they probably got this removed. (Completely unethical by the way) but it remained on AutoCheck. His "Customer Relations" manager Terry Wagner offerred to settle this issue by paying me the blue book value of the truck while I would keep possesion of the truck.
I agreed to this. The next day, Terry Wagner called me back saying that the offer had changed. Now I was being offered 75% of the value AND I had to return the truck to them. They backed out of an accepted offer and refuse to work with a customer that they blatently ripped off.
Avoid this dealership at all costs. Russell Anderson and San Marcos Dodge give car dealers everywhere a bad name.

First, check to see what the S/C Court damage limits are. Of course, you can always run this by an attorney in your area. Whichever you do...do not just give up and accept what THEY want you to accept. Their purpose is to get out of this as cheaply as possible. This DOES NOT align with your purposes!
