On 12/15/05, my husband and I went to Sandals Negril for the wedding of my step-daughter. On the last day, I ate smoked salmon from the buffet in the large room. The next morning, I started feeling sick and got sicker and sicker all the way back to Atlanta. It turns out I got salmonella food poisoning. I was so sick I missed a week of work; in fact, I thought I was going to die. I have tried numerous times to use Sandals' very user-unfriendly complaint system over the Internet. I have been promised a reply direct from the resort several times which I did not receive until YESTERDAY, 5 months later. All they said was they are sorry I was 'disappointed'. I think that is a vast understatement that I was disappointed. There has been no offer of any type of compensation (Not that I would want to go there again...) I DO NOT RECOMMEND SANDALS.
