 I purchased a dermal roller from website owndoc.com. About one year later I notice a charge on my paypal that I never remembered making. I put in a request to get the information on the charge from PayPal . Within a day I receive an email from this woman Sarah Vaughter who is apparently the owner of this company. The email csays I am a "fraudlater" among other things and says I now owe this company 100k in legal fees for "fraud". I emailed back I didn't even know who she was. She ramped up the threats and posted my Facebook profile picture on one of her websites as "owing 100,000 due to fraud" against her company! She even posted my mailing address from my order and all personal info she could find on me like my place of employment. Once I figured out what was going on I apologized in an email said I made a mistake and I would let PayPal know that the charge was correct. This was not good enough for Sarah Vaughter I received over 20 harassing emails and phone calls threatening to ruin my reputation on the Internet by exposing me as a "criminal". I had just found out I had an abnormal brain MRI and was sobbing and 5 minutes later I answer my phone to Sarah Vaughter hysterically screaming at me for committing fraud and demanding 100k. Once i reported her to PayPal, Google, and my local police her communication abruptly ceased. This woman is pure evil. I have no idea why she is so hateful to customers who question her or make mistakes-she is obviously evil and/or mentally ill. Buy your beauty products on Amazon-she will make your life a living hell.

So it is impossible for us to charge customers a year later, except at the moment of sale. If anyone clams we charged her a year later, that's untrue.

Some people file chargebacks, mistakenly or not, and then do not wish to engage in a dialogue about the issue but instead respond with agression and threats when we ask our legitimate property back. That's a bit strange, "mistakenly" doing a chargeback for hundreds of dollars and then refusing to pay us back. Of course we consider that theft and of course there is a cost to the thief in that case: Public blacklisting.

The thief will usually then threaten to damage our company as much as possible if we do not take the blacklisting down. We never bow to such pressure. The thief usually then follows up with online defamation. Other companies are intimidated by threats of online defamation, our reputation is so good that we decidced we will not bow to threats of defamation or actual defamation. We will not take down our articles or blacklistings of thieves, also not when threatened or libeled. You can verify our good reputation by visiting forums where our customers reside such as acne.org and essentialdayspa. These same people that vowed to destroy our reputation also posted their lies there, with the result that literally a dozen happy customers responded that they do not believe the allegations.

So we fight back. You take money from us and when we ask to pay us back you call us "Eurotrash" and when we insist you say: "I'll leave bad reviews about you everywhere as long as I live", the result will be a public blacklisting as per our T&C you agreed to when you placed your order.

About legal action: We do engage attorneys when people libel us in Australia, Canada or Europe because it is relatively easy to secure a conviction in that case. When US citizens libel us, all we so far chose to do is create a separate web page about the details of their theft, plus our defense against their lies they spread online. Of course, as our popularity grows and our funds increase, we will eventually also be able to afford the large upfront legal fees associated with pursuing a libel case in the US.

The thieves make it sound as if making a "threat" to obtain justice via the court system against their fraud and defamation somehow proves we're gangsters. On the contrary. We take honesty and trust so seriously, that theft and libel from our "customers" is completely unacceptable, regardless of how much money we lose, regardless how much they threaten us with destruction. We take theft and online lies very personally and we will keep fighting back. Public blacklisting and having to settle with our lawyer are the costs associated with stealing from us and trying to destroy our business. Vendors are fighting back, thieves! Better get used to it.

Katie Nicol stole AUD 257 from us and said she'll destroy our reputation

Katie Nicol is lying - she stole AUD 257 from us and sent back an empty box. She had mistakenly ordered a device with the wrong plug and when we discovered that, we still offered her an adaptor. However she then said we must have falsified the order details and demanded a refund. She then filed a chargeback with PayPal and sent us back an empty box.

We have engaged an attorney in Australia to sue Katie E. Nicol in Victoria, Australia for libel becasue as you can read in her statement on this page, she has been libeling us everywhere and does not intend to stop.

 Yes Sarah caught we is a disgusting piece of work. She is a fraudster herself. I had the same issue. She then got someone else's photo that wasn't even me and plastered it over the Internet. I have since got in contact with the girl and told her- she is now looking into pressing charges. I doubt it's even a female. I think the photo is a fake because it certainly isn't a nice old lady behind the key board. I continue to leave bad reviews about her everywhere and will continue to do so for as long as I can! Her threats are meaningless designed to scare people into thinking she has power

 All lies-nice try Sarah you just made your self look even worse . Read between the lines potential customers-what does her rebuttal tell you about her and her ability to be transparent and upfront about her business practices? She loves the use of the word "fraudster"! She used it repeatedly in her harassing emails to me. I have all the email evidence of the threats she made against me --including her ridiculous statement that I will pay 100k in HER attorneys fees for me questioning an old charge on PayPal -asking for it to be investigated-I didn't ever make any claims that I wouldn't pay as I already had paid via PayPal. Oh and by the way, her emails firmly state I have 7 days to wire her the 100k "or else" she will publicly humiliate me on the internet!! Talk about fraud, blackmail? Please do not set yourself up for such abuse I am giving all customers a fair warning she does not care if you buy something from her "store" online she wants to terrify people into sending her thousands! What a cruel and evil thing to do. Greed is obviously driving her behavior- the truth will come out and she will get what she deserves for commiting these crimes! The truth always comes out eventually. I am extremely well off and my brother is a lawyer so you don't scare me Sarah, but your attacks may scare others huh? They might buckle under the pressure of hundreds of harassing emails, threats, letters and You commiting libel and defamation of character. I don't need to swindle you out of a 20.00 Dermaroller-please believe I make 5 times in a year than your poorly run business.. Maybe that's why you choose me as one of your victims? Do you check net worth before you send emails demanding 100k within 7 days? Here in America, Sarah we try to have repeat customers and build a good name for ourselves so others will recommend us to others. You are a foreigner and not one of us even if you do spend lots of time in New York-you are not an American. This may be why you only know paranoia, greed, and poor customer service as a business model. Stop hiding behind your "fine print". Leary, smart buyers please READ between the lines in her comment. Never denying that she attacks customers via the Internet! I have email PROOF she never gave me an opportunity to explain that I made a mistake or take 5 seconds to actually read my emails that said "oh sorry my mistake I will let PayPal know that I figured out what the charge is". Maybe if your charges from PayPal weren't listed under some mystery company name that isn't owndoc or your name it would be more easily recognized and you wouldn't have "so many fraudsters" making you go broke and have to go to such extreme measures!! Customers-please note this very cruel person never did what all good business owners do "I am sorry you had a bad experience with us if you would like to contact me directly I would be happy to discuss further".. Nope just little hidden threats like "if someone plans to report us on ripoff report" we will do..... Blah blah..Oh yes sweetie you have been reported. So sorry you can't figure out who I am because you have been a cyber bully to so many others!! Companies who don't treat people horribly like yours does-don't have to worry about being reported to multiple agencies now do they? You are a very mean person and stalked, harassed and bullied me- you know it's true Sarah. Your business will fail because there are a million beauty sites to buy what yours does and these companies do not have hateful people running them. Here in America it's called karma. Oh and your Dermaroller was horrible-the one I bought for half the price on Amazon was 100 times better. Apology accepted.. Oh wait you didn't apologize you tried to make an issue that his is an annomous site! I bet you try to pay them to find out my email so you can start threatening me again! Guess what? I have better things to do than write ripoff reports-I have never done one before this. I do not want one other person to be bullied the way I was-it's very important to me that the truth is out there so you can never attack someone the way you did me.

We do publicly blacklist people who commit fraud, but only in severe cases such as chargebacks where we have a signature for delivery and the customer refuses to return the merchandise or otherwise communicate with us. 

Chargebacks make us incur a $20 fine on top of the lost revenue, and in addition, if we get above 0.5% chargebacks we will lose our payment processor, which could cost us easily a month of revenue. This is why we take fraudulent chargebacks seriously and warn people they will be publicly blacklisted if they steal our merchandise without paying.

This anonymous person claims I called her and screamed at her on the phone. This is a lie. I have never in my life talked to any of our customers on the phone. I am regularly aproached by journalists to give interviews (recently a journalist for the Estonian state news service wanted to talk to me about my article about MMS because the MMS scam is prevalent in Estonia) and I always decline to give my phone number because I like to keep it private. We do sometimes call people in case of egregious fraud when it's about hundreds of dollars, but it is always our webmaster who calls to warn that if the damage is not undone, public blacklisting will follow as per our T&C.

Unfortunately, when you have many customers, there is always a small number of people who try to get away with fraud. And some of these people will retaliate when we expose them publicly. With lies. This is in the nature of dishonest people. Nearly all merchants simply absorb fraud and do not fight back. We do.

As to the allegation of $100,000 legal fee demand: This is untrue. We do warn fraudsters that if they defraud us and, when we try to recoup our loss or blacklist the fraudster, try to inflict more damage onto us by lying to 3rd parties, that we will sue them (for libel, for example) and that the consequences may be that they will have to pay our legal costs.

We give people who mistakenly file a chargeback a lot of opportunity to return the merchandise or repay us. If they instead threaten to destroy our company by filing a Ripoff Report and reporting us as criminals to every US regulatory body under the sun, then of course we invoke our T&C and publicly blacklist the individual.

Why did she wait a year to charge you ?? That in itself seems really weird. Why would you apologize to someone who is harassing you and took ONE YEAR to charge you? You don't think that is shady at best???
