Savannah Toyota - Charlie Spillane & Don Kitchens Crooked, cheating, fast talking thieves ripoff Savannah Georgia

I went to Savannah Toyota looking for a RAV4 that I had seen advertised on the company's internet site. These crooks gave me a price of $18,000+ for a 2001 vehicle. I told them I would not pay that price, plus the vehicle was listed cheaper on their web site.

When the salesman could not convince me to pay his price, Charlie Spillane, Finance Director came out and gave me this "great deal" of $13,200. He said that was the absolute best and only because of my "great credit" score.

Charlie continously tried to talk me into a "certified car" warranty. I told him the car was already certified under Toyota and I did not need another certified warranty. He insisted the price was already in the car's price and I had to pay nothing more. I still said no.

By the time I signed the paperwork, it was after 8pm. Past their closing time and well past dinner time. I had a headache and was physically sick from his badgering me. I had a 2 hour drive home.

When I looked at my paperwork the next morning, Mr. 'Crook' had charged me $80 plus tax over the price advertised on the internet and $495 for a "wrap around warranty".

After checking with other Toyota service centers, I was told there was no such thing as a wrap around service warranty and the crook had charged me for the already existing Toyota 6 year, 100,000 miles warranty!

The web site says the owner of the company is always available to talk with a customer. I called and asked for the owner. He refused to talk with me and had his General Manager, Don Kitchens call me back.

When I explained to Mr. Kitchens what had happened. He told me I signed the contract so that was my problem. But since he was a good guy he would send me a check for $80.

I reminded Mr. Kitchens of the tax and the principal in addition to the $495 would make a difference in the payment with the additional amount financed. He told me he would NOT re-do his paperwork and techinically he did not have to do anything. He did send me an $85 check.

Those crooks cheated me out of over $500 plus the additional charge for the financed amount. I allowed it by not reading what I signed.

Buyers beware of Savannah Toyota. Stay away and don't buy from this company.
