Buyer Befare-  I was totally robbed by Savannah Van Lines!!  I arranged to have my household goods which were already packed and in a ground-level drive-up storage unit in Ohio put on a truck and moved to a similiar ground-level drive up storage unit nearer to my home in Maryland.  At first the agent, Vernon L. called and checked in with me every few days.

Then, once I committed to a move and an extimate price from this company over a month before the planned move, I sent them a deposit online through my bank debit card.  The took the money out of my account, and after that I could barely get an answer via telephone, text or email.  They simply stopped communicating...  I paid an advance deposit of $397 and even notified them that I was ready to make a second payment.

As it came closer to the date of my move (suppossedly during the time window of June 27-28, 2018), I got no details about my move- and I personally did not have a problem with a sub-contractor.  I gave a move-out notice to the old storage.  I rented a new storage unit nearby.  Thus I paid double storage fees for the end of June, and now July.  I paid a notary public and sent letters to have my locks in Ohio cut off and to give their driver access.  I sent them the gate code.  All this cost money.

Vernon turned me over to a Customer Service rep named Alex who called me twice.  Four days before my anticipated move he called me and said he would call back in two days giving me details.  No one ever called back or answered any of my inquiries, even the supposed headquarters.  Then I saw on their company's Facebook web site that people were complaining they picked up their goods and NeVeR delivered them.  I also saw negative reviews on this web site.  (How I wished I'd checked in April when I first began negotiations with them...

I am a 65-year-old widow living check-to-check on a limited, small income, and I really feel used, abused and scammed by these people.  I am filing legal action to try and get my deposit back, but am not terribly hopeful.  After they took my money, they essentially dissappeared.

There was a typo in my report.  The pick-up date was supposed to be June 27 or 28, 2016- NOT 2018.  Sorry for the mistake.
