Today I ordered some smart lids, as seen on TV online. When I finished with my order, I was taken to another page stating I would recieve a $10.00 rebate, just click and claim! Yeah Right!!! Be sure to read the fine print as I was automatically entered into a 30 day membership with Savings 2 Go, and all my credit card and email info was transferred to this company!! What a crock!! I called immediately called to cancel and they said I had to wait 7 to 10 business days to cancel!!
Be careful ordering things online as this has happened to me before!!

Worthless membership programs and AS SEEN ON TV CRAP!

AUTHOR: Laurie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 31, 2009

Yes - do they disclose the membership program - I have actually seen the disclosures on other sites before actually clicking on the offer. NOT in fine print!

Yes they are worthless programs that no one wants - the real issue is the fact that these programs take advantage of the fact that MOST PEOPLE DO NOT READ THE INFORMATION provided before agreeing to this. those same people assume it was an unauthorized charge when in fact they agreed to it.

Another ploy is the trial period to review the materials and cancel - Your lucky if you ever receive the materials at all - let alone during the trial period.. They do not want to send you a reminder to cancel.

As for buying AS SEEN ON TV - its all over-priced crap.
THERE IS NOTHING FREE! You pay for all of it! When you buy from the TV ad.

You could have waited and bought them in the stores for half the TV price and no freebies - or over priced shipping and handling charges. Example I have seen the Aqua Globes at Walgreens and Home Depot 2 for $9.99 - not the 19.99 they charge on TV for 2 with the second being "FREE" NOT!

AND NO WORTHLESS MEMBERSHIP PROGRAMS!
