First of all, the service tech who came to my home services the Dayton, Ohio area (NOT) New York.  However, because I can only find a physical address for the main office I have listed that information in my complaint.  We purchased our furniture from Morris Home Furnishings (Dayton, Ohio location) in December of 2015.  The furniture was delivered between January-February of 2016. 

In early November of 2016 we called our furniture company in need of a repair on our rocking, reclining love-seat.  We were told that S.A.W. Enterprises would be in contact with us to schedule a repair tech to come to our home.  The tech came to our home and determined that the mechanism is broken and stated the part would have to be ordered after which they would schedule another appointment for the install.

The tech came to our home yesterday to install the new mechanism.  After installation was complete he informed me that the incorrect mechanism was ordered, but he installed it anyway and would need to schedule a third appointment to come back out and take the base from the new mechanism off and replace it with the base from the original mechanism.  I questioned whether the correct part needed to be ordered, and he stated it did not because he can swap out the base but did not have time to complete the job.  He also stated that the reclining foot rest is very hard to put back down.

The base on the new mechanism is not the same size as the base on the old mechanism.  Because of this the mechanism has put a rather large scratch in our flooring!  In addition, the tech did not properly remove the staples to remove the back panel that allowed him access to the mechanism.  Instead, he ripped the back panel off causing tears in the upholstry!  What staples were removed were not picked up--they were left on the floor for my kids or dogs to step on, or to risk further scratching the floor.  And, yes, I have pictures of all of this. 

We have been back and forth between the furniture company and the repair company and have received nothing but the run around. It took us hours to have a manager return our phone call and our issue still remains incomplete.
