I filed my taxes with Turbo Tax, had fees deducted from refund I have been keeping tabs on my refund and the IRS released the direct deposit to SBBT on 02/16/2008 but their web site sataes that it will not reach my bank until Friday this seems kinda crazy to me I would assuime that a bank would have the ability to transfer funds anytime. However the lady that I spoke with today said well we only transfer on Fridays. In the mean time this money DOES draw interest which may not seem like a lot but if you figure all the people that use them it is.
They do NOT state that they will only distribute funds on Fridays. I can now chalk this up to a lesson learned ...note to self dont use H&R Block or Turbo Tax. They both screw you a little.
When I asked this lady why it was pending she said it could be an error on my part and after explaining to her that if there is an error it would be on their part and I intend to file a complaint with the FDIC and BBB if my refund is held past Friday!!
I don't know what gives them the right to hold my refund. If they get it that quickly why the heck can't I.
