BEWARE WHEN YOU ORDER OVER THE PHONE WITH THE JC PENNEY catalog center. You will be offered 10.00 off your purchase if you agree to " check out this membership that is free for the 1st 30 day and you can cancel at anytime"..
1) yes you can cancel at anytime. But we employees will give you 5 reasons why not to cancel before we finally relent. Then e will try to sell you life insurance.
2) most people because it is free for the first 30 days forget about it, until they see months of charges of 9.95 on there statement.. we only give 6 mths back refund but we wont tell you that on the phone.
3) perfect home rewards is nonsense basically. Why do ederly people in retirement homes and apts need a membership that will save them money on appliances?
4 ) fun family rewards may be useful to some people, but honestly folks,, use that 9.95 on something substantial
we get bonus money every month for every customerthat we can convince not to cancel, and for every customer we sell life insurance to,, the company can care less if you like the membership or not, they bank on people forgetting they have it and who dont scrutinize there cc statements...thats the real way the company makes there money off you..

I'm a store employee and I'm so sad to see so many customers stop shopping at Penney's because of an issue with the credit card company. I have been a store employee for 5 years now and I promise you there is no scams to be found in the store. If you will ask we will do everything within reason, and even some things that are not to help you.
