I was hoping my federal returns was fine. But I got audited 3 years later. I had to pay a fee of $6000 including interests and penalties for a $2500 return I received. When I contacted Scarfo scpa1@tampabay.rr.com , he simply didn’t return my phone calls, emails. I told him, I will take them to small claims court, unless they gave me some sort of settlement. He just kept ignoring my calls, and wasting my time. I hope people do their research before they use this person scarfoandco-cpas.com/

Totally False Complaint

This Ripoff report about my company is totally untrue. We never had such a situation occur. The description of the events pertaining to my company never happened. We have never charged anyone $2,500 for a tax return. Most individual tax returns go for around $250 to $750. Most of the higher priced returns reflect very complex tax situations.
We always return calls usually within 24 hours. Most of the time calls are returned within a few hours. We also return emails and other forms of communication in a similar time frame. We have never abandoned client if they are audited, nor do we leave them without representation in an audit. We‘ve also never had a client threaten to sue us.
The anonymous person who made this post is either a competitor who wants to downgrade my firm with false allegations, or an angry person with a grudge. We did have a dispute with an SEO company around the time this complaint originated and it might have been the angry SEO owner that did this to us. They were not a client, and this false report could be a form of retaliation for us ending our service agreement with them. In either case, the complaint is totally false.
