Schwan's Food Company Danger to Public Internet

Like may people here I took a job with Schwan's, just last year. I wish I would have checked here before I went to work for this horrible company. I did not know that a company could treat it's employees like this in this day and age.

I did work an average of 14 hours per day, many days I worked even more. Also, I have never seen such a fine group of hard working men and women so dishearten and defeated in my sales carrier. 

What I have not seen reported here is the safety issue for employees and the general public. The drivers/sales people will find themselves at a bank with large amounts of cash and checks anywhere from 10 PM until midnight, or later, 5 days per week. The life of every Schwan's driver is in danger from the moment they leave the terminal until they get out of their car and make their night deposits late at night.  

The pressure to make all of your stops and then do them within the required time frames and the reprimands you will get for not doing so, make this one of the most stressful jobs that I have ever seen.  In addition you are to increase`sales and customers daily and then I have seen the most experienced of drivers publicly scolded on several occasions for not achieving the above. Add 70 hour work weeks to all the stress and pressure and you have a totally worn out and a mentally and physically  exhausted man or woman who is driving every day on the streets and in your neighborhoods. We`were told of a Schwan's driver that recently had his truck mirrors hit a lady in the head that was just walking down the street. 

This company is a major accident waiting to happen.
