Save yourselves time and a headache. DO NOT use Scoresence to receive your free credit score or reports. The other day I decided to check my credit score and after typing in free credit score this so called company popped up. So I proceeded to enter the information they were requesting.
I should have been suspicious when they asked for a credit card # that they stated would be used ONLY to verify your identity. It stated that I would be charged a FULLY refundable 1.00. However to my surprise I went to look at my bank statement a few days later and I had not only been charged the 1.00 but also 29.99 from scoresense. I immediatley called the number listed on my bank account to inquire about why they had charged this and to inform them that I had never authorized them to charge the account anything but 1.00. At this time the charge from scoresence was still a pending charge on my account so I figured after talking with someone it would not actually be charged to my account. Wrong!!!!
I spoke with a gentleman who I explained the whole situation to and he was very understanding. However he explained to me that he could not issue a refund even though he said he could see that there had clearly been no activity on my account since the night I got my credit score. He also said he understood that I may not have been aware of the charge of 29.99 after 7 days. But he did say that it was on their web site when you sign up. I strongly disagreed with him that NO Where had I seen anything about a 29.99 monthly fee. He explained to me that he had submitted a request for a refund of the 29.99 and that he could not guarantee it either way. He said they would review it and I would have a decision in a couple of days and that I would receive and email informing of their decision. This immediatley was a red flag to me but there was nothing I could do at this point but to wait and see the outcome. He then offered me 30 free complimentary days of service for my trouble. I not so kindly declined them telling him I wanted everyhting cancelled immediatley and wanted nothing to do with that company. I was not taking achance of getting charged anymore money from them.
After 6 days with no response from them and no money returned to my account I called to inquire about the status of my refund. I was told it was still being reviewed and I should have an answer by 6pm that evening and that I would receive and email. So today still nothing so I waited until 7pm and then called again and was this time told that the refund had been denied. Needless to say I was not very happy at this point. I asked how they could deny my requesT and was told they could resubmit it again. I asked to talk to a supervisor who upon getting on the phone was very rude and treated me like I was an idiot. She tried to tell me that it was clearly stated in the sign up process. I tried to explain to her that I never signed up for anything and that I was never informed of the 29.99 charge. I told her that they were taking advantage of people what their service was suppose to be protecting people from(again all I wanted was my free credit score not their service). But I had been tricked into paying for it anyway. She did not like the fact that I had called her out on tricking people and became more rude than before. I then told her that they were nothing but con artists and that I was going to make sure that I relayed the information to anyone on the internet that would listen. That is how I came across this site and clearly I am not the only who has been taken advantage of. People do yourselves a favor and stay as far away from this company as you can.

Did you even read the website? On the first page I was sent to, I was asked my name, etc. And there, in the top right corner, is a blurb about the 7-day free trial and then continuing charges. It's not even in really small print.
Next time, read the whole page.
