Over a year my now ex-husband used my debit card to pay for his membership. I've been trying to cancel this since February of 2019. They continue to withdraw $39.95 from my bank account, even though I have told them not to because we are no longer married and I don't know how to contact my ex.

I'm on disability and they continue to ignore request. They seem to be ignoring my requests and don't care.

The problem

AUTHOR: Robert - (United States)

The problem is that your ex used your debit card on his account. Unless you know his account information and have permission to access his account. They are likely not ignoring you, they just can't make any changes to it without his permission.

If you can't get a hold of your Ex, you may want to contact your bank and cancel the card, reporting the transaction as fraudlent. They will issue you a new card.  While some banks will still allow these charges to go through, most banks should stop any additional charges at this point. Your bank may also be able to recover 1-2 months of transactions.

Contact your bank

Your bank will want to know that you contacted the merchant first. Tell them the steps you have taken to cancel this service and since you have been unsuccessful in getting ScoreSense to stop charging you the bank will help you to get the charge stop or change your debit card.
