I can vouch for similiar problems of the company. I don't think the company can deny bounced checks. I'm sure if you're a consultant, some of you probably have had bounced checks. I know of one person who had a bounced check and then tried to call their corporate office just to get the run around for weeks and weeks. She finally had to rerun the check a few weeks later and fortunately it did clear. Aren't these consultants there customers? I think this is very unethical to be treated this way. Hopefully they have there act together, but I don't really know. I also heard that they owe some serious back pay to a consultant as well.

It seems they claim that all there problems fixed know. I wonder if they are still giving our scrappy bux still? Scrappy bux are where when you order something, if they only have a portion of it in stock, they just give you a store credit to use later on something else, but they charge your credit card the entire amount - they don't even ask you. I think this is really illegal and against federal law. That seems very unethical to me to.

I also called some states because this rumor is going around. Boy where these states interested to here about this company. I read this mourning that the company claims they are legit with all state tax agencis - but I called and heard from consultants that they are'nt. Some states don't have them registered at all. I'm not sure how long the company has been in business - i think its like a few years - but if they are'nt registered, that probably means they never ever paid this state any taxes that are owed. I'm worried what will happen when the states finally auditt them for this.

I don't know about other kinds of taxes - but if they aren't being honest about state taxes, how can i beleive they can be hones about other types of taxes as well. After all, they try to tel us for a long time that our software would be ready and it never is.

Clarification of Clarification (Scrappy Bucks)

AUTHOR: Laura - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, August 03, 2003

Scrappy Bucks were given on regular orders-- I have first hand knowledge.

I placed an order, and several items were out of stock. Most of these items were simply zero'd out-- I wasn't charged, they weren't shipped.

However, I had several items go out of stock after they had charged my credit card but before they filled my order. There was a note saying they would ship when available. Evidently, they never became available. I received a letter containing "Scrappy Bucks" and a note instructing that I must use them on the included form, not with an on-line or phone order, and that it must be an instock item. Unfortunately, I had no idea what was in stock, so I still have the scrappy bucks.

Discrimination then?

AUTHOR: Jennifer - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, August 02, 2003

That is interesting. I received Scrappy Bucks not too long ago and it was NOT for a Scrapshop order (where there would be hostess free items). It was for a personal order. The kicker is: I was charged on my credit card for them. O I ordered something that was not in stock. They didnt have them, so they charged me for it anyway and issued me Scrappy Bucks to use at a later date. Sounds like a way to get our money now.

Wonder if I'll be able to redeem my Crappy Bucks when they go out of business? Or maybe I can send them to Visa to pay for my bill? Do you think they would take Crappy Bucks as payment?

I'm glad that you only received them for Hostess free items, but don't assume you can speak for everyone since its clear that SIAS does not treat people the same. People on the President's Sisters Yahoo Group rant and rave about how horrible some people are, and then turn around and are excited when others get terminated for negativity. Just doesnt make sense to me. I thought I graduated from High School 20 years ago.

PS I've had checks bounce too. And I did NOT get my check fees reimbursed. I called at least 5 times, waited on hold, had emails ignored etc. Finally I decided its not even worth it to waste my time to pursue a $10 charge. (My one check in particular, itself was only $9.. so it actually COST me money to work for Crap in a Snap)

Scrappy Bucks clarification

AUTHOR: Vic - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, August 01, 2003

I do have first han knowledge that the Scrappy Bucks are only given out for Hostess Earned Product. In other wards when I am a hostess to a Scrap In A Snap party and have X amount of sales I earn X amount of free Scrap In A Snap product. However if that product I order as my free product is out of stock at the time of my order I will be issued "Scrappy Bucks" . This is extremely common for any type of business and is imilar to rain checks. The difference with SB and Rain Checks is Scrappy Bucks can be used at any time for any item. Rain Checks can only be used for the item out of stock.

So when I chose I can order anything from Scrap In A Snap using my Scrappy Bucks and not be charged.

I would rather get my Scrappy Bucks then have to hurry up and pick another product that is in stock.
