Look for another towing co. to sign up with, and save your sanity. This also applies to the National franchisor.
I need a tow, dock to dock. I'm being refused the insured service I've been paying for the last 5 years.
1st. reason for refusal: They only do "convenience" towing Monday through Thursday...no wonder....today just happens to be Friday, so they have that as REFUSAL reason No. 1 BUT, that's not all.
They are insisting that the tow go to a marine repair facility. We all know how that works, don't we. I made a call to the SEATOW National Hqtrs. in N.Y., and pleaded my case, and was promissed a call back. That was two hours ago, and from the way the conversation went, there was a clear ambivalence to the tow that I need. I never ever needed a tow before, and I've been power boating over 54 years! I'm done with these towers for good, and I'll be money ahead.
It's no wonder that business is held in such low esteem by the public. There are so many cheats and scam artist that you simply lose trust in all of them.

FINALLY HAD TO TOW IT MYSELF

After 6 days without a tow, and making no apparent progress with the franchisee, Sea Tow Tampa Bay, I took matters into my own hands and rented a boat and towed it to my dock by myself. I let Al Goldstein, an executive of SeaTow out of New York know via email that I had done the towing myself, and asked for nothing in return. I was pleasantly surprised that SeaTow, the national organization responded, and was graciously willing to make me whole for my expenses in doing my own tow.
I now consider the incident now resolved and thank SeaTow, the international, and particularly, Al Goldstein who dilligently pursued and effected a satisfactory resolution to what was heading for a costly legal entanglement.

Further dialogue with SeaTow international and its franchisee, Sea Tow Tampa Bay have led to a dock to dock tow on Tuesday, Sept. 5, commencing at 9:AM.
If Sea Tow Tampa Bay follows through on the above, my needs will have been met to my satisfaction. The absence of any further update to the issue means that I am now satisfied that the service has been performed as provided for under the towing insurance plan, and the issue may well have been a miss communication.
