Sears, Miracle-ear, Flagler County Hearing Aids, Julie Pruitt rip-off Damaged original aide, then would not send replacement or new one Daytona Beach Florida

Original miracle hearing aide was about 8 yrs. old when I went to this store. The problem was that the poles that make contact with the battery kept coming out, but because she kept saying it was so old that she attempted to fix it at the store in daytona and not send it to the factory. When she did this she put a big glob of glue inside and it never worked after that, so I had to get a new one. She would not send the old one to the factory because she knew she had messed it up.

So ended up getting a new one in approx. Dec. 1999. Lost this one, around a year later-had to get a notorized paper from the barber shop were it was lost and it still cost me another $200 to get a new replacement.

This new replacement never worked right but she would never send it back to the factory to be serviced, always said it was the batteries. Filled up 1 of the air vents with wax and wax around the part that goes in the ear canal. This has all taken place since 1/2/01.

Now the hearing aide is not working at all and when I went in to have her send it off, she cussed and told me to get out( her secretary was present during this confrontation).

When I went to another miracle-ear store in Port Orange, fl., the woman(very nice) there wanted to send it out but when I went back to see what the status was, she said her boss said the warranty had ran out and there was nothing she could do. But come to find out the Julie Pruitt is the daughter of the owner of both stores, so she did not want to hear anything. Also had to talk with a sister who's the vice-pres or something, she backed up her sister.

To make a long story I'm left without a working hearing aide.
