I can't believe Sears Parts Direct still practice deceiving schemes in persuading customers to order parts they don't need. It's internet age and Sears really believes it can get away with ths type of business misconduct.
I was trying to order a refrigerator switch today and sought help on part # on Sears' chat room. Then the Sears rep. did her best effort in trying to sell its high-priced water filter. After she realized that someone did know the value of the filter, she then persuaded me to buy a socket, which is completely irrelevant in fixing the lighting of refridgerator. Unfortunately, without an image of the part, I belived the cheating Sears representative and ordered the un-needed part.
About 20 minutes later, I realized that I never needed the socket and called the customer service to cancel the order. I was told that it's too late to stop the order. If I really want to return it after I receive it, I would have to pay for the shipping!
That's an outrageous ripoff by Sears Parts Direct! Anyone who wish to purchase parts for kitchen appliances, you should go to other online parts sites. Sears Parts Direct really is the last site you want to get ripped off! Even (((competitor's name redacted))) is 100% better than Sears.
