Safeco Field (at this time) cost more money to build than any other sports edifice in the country. The shame is the public paid for most of it and gets nothing in return.

Hot Dogs cost 5 bucks and Coors Light costs seven. The owners get all this money.

The economic impact on Seattle is felt primarily through the dirtbags who man the concession stands. Fresh out of jail (it seems), they work for Labor Ready. The Mariners don't want to have to pay benefits, so they gave Labor Ready the work contract. Labor Ready is a ripoff story all in itself.

PEOPLE OF SEATTLE!!!!!! BOYCOTT THE MARINERS!!! THEY TOOK PUBLIC MONEY AND WOULDN'T USE IT TO SIGN YOUR CITY'S TWO GREATEST ATHLETES!!! A-ROD IS LEAVING NEXT, JUST LIKE THE UNIT AND GRIFFEY!!! IF YOU ROOT FOR THE MARINERS YOU ARE SAPS WHO DESERVE TO HAVE YOUR MONEY STOLEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
