This company doesn't give you what you pay for. They sell themselves as a large company, but most of their employees aren't even licensed to do security. Large events are staffed by unlicensed friends and relatives, though you pay for licensed guards. Several of the armed guards do not have gun permits.

If you hire them for their patrol service, you will get nothing but LIP SERVICE from the Executive Vice President A.J. Scola III. He will tell you what you want to hear to get you to sign the contract and then you won't get anything near what you paid for.

The guards are sloppy, have poor personal hygene, and are slow to respond. When the guard showed up on my site, he appeared under the influence of narcotics. He slurred his words and eyes were very dialated. His uniform looked as if he'd been sleeping in it. Being that I'm a single woman, I felt very uncomfortable that this man was answering my alarm call. Several calls to Mr. Scola went unreturned.

This is a very shady company even though they don't have any complaints through consumer affairs. I should have done my homework.

A different experiance

AUTHOR: DR. JAMES SCOTT - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, February 20, 2010

I contacted Secural in request of personnel to secure a large party I was hosting during the Holiday Season.  I spoke with A.J Scola regarding my party and my specific needs.  After reading a previous Secural report, left here on Ripoff Reports.com, I decided to do a little investigation of my own.  What I found was amazing which, lead to the conception of this report.

After researching Seural on line, I found the following information:

-Secural was established in 1976

-They are family owned and operated

-They are Ca. licensed and insured

-AJ Scola was the President of S.C.S.A. (Southern California Security Association)

-The Principals of the Corporation are currently State licensed

- An employee search done through the B.S.I.S. indicated the officers employed by Secural are currently Licensed.

This left me confused as the other report I found on Ripoff Reports.com contradicted my findings.  My next avenue of search was done personally through the S.C.S.A, the Lost Hills Sheriffs Department, and The City of Calabasas.  All of these organizations had nothing but great things to say about both Secural and AJ Scola.

After I reviewed all of my findings I came to the conclusion that the previous report was either filled by a disgruntled employee or customer. I decided to take my chances and proceeded to sign contract with Secural for my event.

The following occurred:

When: December 20, 2009

What: Private Holiday Party with over 183 guests, several guests being Actors

Where: Beverly Hills, 90210

I was contacted on 12/17 by AJ Scola requesting permission to visit the event location with his field Manager.  AJ reported back to me upon his findings and his concerns for the event security.  We discussed my options and decided on 6 uniformed Officers and 2 officers in black suits. On 12/19 Erin contacted me to confirm that Secural was ready and to ask of any last minute changes. On 12/20 at roughly I was invaded by a group of well dressed, well groomed, intimidating, Security officers.  I was dumbfounded to find that AJ came in a suit to personally supervise the crew of 8 Officers.  Each Officer was super polite they introduced themselves to me and we spent a better part of 10 minutes just talking. The party ended at and Secural was on top of every incident that occurred.  I was so impressed by their professionalism and regard to safety that I booked Secural for this same party next year and two others.

I feel for the person who wrote the bad report as I could never imagine something so far fetched ever happening.

Regards,

Dr. Scott

TURN THEM OVER TO THE STATE AGENCY WHO LICENSES PRIVATE SECURITY GUARD CONTRACTORS

AUTHOR: Joe - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, May 30, 2009

It is against most state laws to allow persons to carry firearms who have not been licensed as security officers --- while they are in uniform.

It is also against the law to let people work for the agency who are not formally hired and do not have a license --an unarmed license.

It is against the law to not submit your employees applications to have a Complete Criminal History run on them and to be approved by the security guard licensing agency.

I can't believe the State of California allowed this idiot to have a license to operate a security company -- and he doesn't know the State rules and regulations.

Maybe he isn't licensed either.

http://guardcard.net

California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) licenses security guard contracting companies which are called Private Patrol Operators:

A "private patrol operator" is a company that furnishes security guards, bodyguards, patrolmen, or watchmen to protect persons or property. .

AND THIS IS WHERE YOU GO TO FILE A COMPLAINT AGAINST THESE PEOPLE:

http://www.dca.ca.gov/online_services/complaints/complfrm.shtml

Bureau of Security and Investigative Services
2420 Del Paso Road, Suite 270
Sacramento, CA 95834
(916) 322-4000
FAX (916) 575-7290
bsis@dca.ca.gov

IF HE ISN"T LICENSED, THE STATE NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT IT AND THEY SURE NEED ALL THE MONEY THEY CAN GET IN FINES!
