Secured Bond Bureau Sent a letter stating I had won SWEEPSTAKES BONANZA! THIS IS A SCAM!!! Charlottetown Nationwide

I recieved a letter in the mail stating I had won the SWEEPSTAKES BONANZA! Enterprise Rent-a-car's logo was on the letter. We had just rented a car from Enterprise a couple weeks ago. The letter include two checks, a Cashier's Check and an Official Check. They stated I needed to call immediately or my winnings would be donated to charity!

The checks are from Bank of the West. The phone numbers on the checks are not the real phone numbers of the bank. I called the bank and they verified the account numbers are fake and the checks are counterfiet.

I did not lose any money becuase I checked this out first. But, apparently, you are supposed to cash the smaller check and send Secured Bond Bureau the money to pay to have the bond released for the larger check.

Eventually, the bank ask you to pay back the money for the smaller check after they find that it is fraudulant. DO NOT CASH THE CHECK!

My large check was for 37,862.82 and the smaller one was for 3,800.00

When I called Secured Bond Bureau, "Nicole Tingle" told me to go ahead and cash the smaller check and send her the money to have my bond released for the larger check!

Enterprise Rent-a-car is in no way responsible for this scam and has created a link on their website stating this. They are a victim too.

I usually just throw this type of stuff in the trash, but this looked legit and believable. DON'T FALL FOR IT!
