Sedona Springs Apartments - Dasmen management group over charged, paid my rent and left notice and they locked me out and changed the locks after paying the rent. Charged for water and electric erratically, sent out eviction notices ramdomly, were not open on first of each month to make people pay more for late fees etc. Tucson Arizona

I rented a studio apartment about one year ago.  During this period of time I was overcharged, the manager/staff told me different stories. money I paid somehow disappeared, charged huge amounts for water and electric, was sent eviction notices even when paid up, manager and staff/ office was not open on the first of the month so we couldn't pay on time, portal where you were supposed to pay never worked.  I was on month to month after 7 months lease and they required a 2 month vacate notice.  I paid both months and went over to find myself locked out and the apartment was renovated/ flooring was changed. I was pregnant at the time and my adoption worker was present over and over again to try and help me advocate for rent payment etc.  She experienced everything I did.  My father went down there often and they would tell me what I owed and when he showed up they would lower the amount owed.  My adoption worker paid my rent each month.  She tried using the portal to pay the rent one month and somehow the money disappeared. She has documentation that it was paid and came out of the agencies account but the manager says we didn't pay.  This happened to many other residents.  This company covers their butts with documentation that isn't real while ripping off all the low income people residing there.
