May 11, 2008, a member on eBay advertised a set of used Snap-On refrigerant hoses for sale in an on-line auction. May 14, 2008, I placed a bid on this auction and won the item on May 18, 2008. After the invoice arrived via e-mail, I paid for my winning item through the (automated) eBay checkout system as expected of a buyer.
My Pay Pal account shows this payment is unclaimed, four days later seeuusee292 contacts me with information that some people are sending their payment to the wrong email address. I have forwarded the payment information to seeuusee292 to verify my timely payment. Per the sellers request, I canceled the original payment and remitted my payment once again through the automated check-out system. The problem with this account remains unchanged and there is no way I can alter the sellers information. This person has admitted there is a mistake in their account through the eBay checkout system with Pay Pal, and seeuusee292 refuses to make any attempt to remedy this situation.
seeuusee292 is still asking for the payment on this auction and has filed an unpaid item dispute with eBay. My impression of this member is: the seller demands their buyers are responsible to correct any payment issues the seller may have. Apparently, customer service is the winning buyers responsibility and this person is unwilling to address any issues regarding the misdirected payments through Pay Pal.
I have taken time out of my busy schedule to provide seeuusee292 with all the information in my Pay-Pal account related to this purchase. This person states this is not my email address and refuses to offer an amicable resolution to the unpaid item dispute filed with eBay at their discretion.
During the past two weeks, seeuusee292 has not sent me a revised invoice or a Request for Payment through PayPal with the correct information. I have lost faith in this person as a respectable merchant due to the lack of customer service and the transfer of responsibilities placed upon the buyer. I have formal education into Business Administration and these requirements imposed by the seller are unacceptable.
I have been quite patient and it is time to purchase an identical item from another merchant. I can no longer wait to use my refrigeration equipment due to someone refusing to fulfill their obligations as a selling party on eBay. The $22.16 I paid for this item is nothing compared to my time invested or the loss of work associated with my mechanical trade this summer during a heat wave.
