 Tj you are wrong on so many levels. Not only am I a farmer that raises my own food i have been rescuing for over 30 years. Funny thing you even bring that up being cash cow is a meat cow in the first place. Kinda ironic. Let me also point out that good hearted person you claim heart is in the right place not only rescues but abandons animals herself. Those were shot for no other reason as to get rid of them. The same time those dogs were killed all cats got dumped at a kill shelter. The cats that died were because they had been sick with respiratory infections that were never teated. The dogs did NOT kill them. Not only that they also left 2 horses behind at the same place when she moved to Texas. That's right she just up and left them for the landlord not to mention the house complelty filled with filth and animal poo and urine. Yes that good hearted person also rescued a mare breed her 4 yrs later and then begged for feed for the mare and foal. That good hearted person went on national T.V. made claims she only received 34k for the animals but she personally had received 100k for herself. Her rent has been paid, food bought, a travel trailer bought, truck bought all while she still abandoning more animals like the blind calf and the latest eviction 2 weeks after being on filmed for national T.V. in August 2 of the 49 cats she made claim to have. I personally tried to help this woman and she doesn't want help to do right she wants everyone to support her and her animals. 10 husbands have caught onto her games and now the nation. That is what happens in the end. A con will always get caught. If you want to support her that is your choice I'm sure she will be more than happy to move in with you too. Open your house to her and then tell us how it goes.

 I'm sorry for all the problems that you're having with this group of people Kitty. I honestly believe your heart is in the right place and your definitely being bullied for trying to help these animals. And furthermore, if it were inhumane to shoot an animal then why is that exactly the method used by the Fish and Wildlife department to "dispatch" animals? I suppose the majority of your non-supporters are city people who have no idea what it's like to be raised on a family farm or ranch. I would imagine they would be appalled at the discovery that the meat they consume does not start out at the local grocery store! I do however believe that if possible, you should decrease the number of animals in your care. I think you need a break but you also need to realize that you can't save them all. Best of luck to you. In the first place Ms. Martin I did not write either of these RipOff reports although I agree 110% with what they have said.  Do you really think it is only 5 people now that disagree with what you are doing?  Then again your math isn't your strong suit either. 

Yes, I did in fact file protective orders against you, your husband and michael donnelly after threats were made against me by all 3 of you.  It took the judge less than 5 minutes to sign off on them after he heard the ridiculious things you have accused me of.  But that is where your truth ends.  I went to court and was the only one there. 

I went on Jan. 23 as ordered...AND NO ONE ELSE WAS THERE, not even the lawyer you said you were sending.  The judge had NO information from you or anyone other than me.  I dropped the case after finding out I missed a step in the procedure, a mistake that will not happen again.  So let it be known Mr and Mrs Martin and Michael Donnelly, do not threaten me again because the charges will stick if I need to go again.  Do not incite your followers to threaten or harass me further either.

Truth be told Ms Martin you are the very first rescue I have ever been involved with.  Boy it's been a doozy.  You would have everyone think your problems started with us when the truth is your problems started when you lied the first time.   Funny thing about lies, you can't keep them straight and they just keep compounding. 

Where shall we start?  With your charity (non)status?  You are not a 501(c)(3) or any other kind of charity.  You are under investigation by the state of Virginia for soliciting without filing the proper paperwork.  Texas had never heard of you...they have now.  I expect within a short amount of time they will be getting in touch with you.

You told your followers you had adopted out a bunch of animals that were in VA when the fact of the matter is you sent 9-10 them to  a  shelter that is not no kill.  How nice, you rescued them only to return them right back into danger.  Then there is Daisy.  You say she got away from your husband and he called the AC in MD. 

Truth of the matter is there were no phone calls in December 2013 or January 2014 about a missing black and tan hound b***h.  They did find one in the area he said she got away from him and thank the good Lord above she has been adopted out (after being treated for a massive ear infection) to a good family.  Thank goodness you will never have your hands on her again. 

If you spent as much time looking for a job as you do on FB promoting your cash calf you might not need to beg for funds on a almost daily basis.  It is NOT about you Mr and Mrs Martin, it IS about the animals.  No one that does it right and for the right reasons looks for self glory, which you seem to need on a daily basis. 

Just a footnote, it's amazing how many people are coming out of the woodwork from your past.  Apparently this behavior is nothing new to you.  How sad.

One I am a private person. I am not a part of any group. I have watched your BS unfold for many weeks.

Two Your FB rescue page is a complete and total mess with rantings like a banshee and personal views.

Three A truly organized rescue only posts about their work and the animals in need. They do not attack other organizations and post religious beliefs. Which by the way posting of Religious and Political Beliefs is against the regulations of the 501.C.3 status.

Four Because no one can see any posts of you asking for homes because either your page is such a mess and or you lied about posting it you returned MANY animals to the KILL shelter. 

Five First you post you have good jobs and 90% comes out of your pocket and then you post you don’t have a job and then you make the animals suffer because of it.

Six If you advisor is saying all this crap you are posting is ok, then you need to find another one.

Seven you are a raving luntic that saved an animal that is going to be made to go through pain for your personal gain. His front legs are deformed and anyone with half a wit knows the poor animal needs to be put of his misery and SAVED from your bank account.

Eight Please do everyone a favor and crawl back into the smugg you came from and don’t ever “help” or own another animal. Because help like yours no animal needs. Specially that poor cat that has been sick for months without proper care that you all dumped back at the KILL shelter. 

 This group that filed this against Selah Ranch is a hate group that believe they are the facebook rescue police. The page they run is The truth about the pros and cons of rescue. It is a group of 5 women that make up lies and twist truth into half truth. Go to their page and judge for your self. On of them Ann Brooks filed a restraining order stating she was in fear of her life from us. After swearing an oath against purjury. Then she proceeds to target every media report ,and continued to post lies on their page, along with the other hateful women lieing against us. When we called her on the fact if she was so afraid for her life why would she continue harrasing us. I also posted that we would notify the judge about her actions and amazingly she dropped the case before the judge had it scedualed to go to court. Another one of the admins on her page is accused of missing animals and starved horses. If they were professionals as they claim to be, do you think they would act and say the things that are said on the facebook page? They also run the Not so lucky starz page on facebook. We are not the only rescue that this group has targeted. If they devoted as much time as they do stalking the Selah Ranch All animal Rescue page on FB, on helping rescues and animals, this would be a much nicer world, and more animals would be helped.

SELAH RANCH All Animal Rescue

It is with great regret we at Selah Ranch All Animal Rescue must admit to an error brought forth by a blended group of people. We were contacted by a member of the group genuinely interested in speaking with us and they put us in contact with a nonprofit consultant. The nonprofit consultant explained how the paperwork and status works and where we are in the process. We have filed with the state of VA and for an EIN number with the IRS, this for the time being means we are a corporation which is by default tax wise is considered for profit. How the Articles of Incorporation are written clearly shows our intent is nonprofit status but until the forms for status are filed with fees we are a corporation without nonprofit status. We at no time meant to deceive the public. We did not have anyone on our board who understood the paperwork required, and from our understanding speaking to others had done things properly. In fact the consultant stated we had been on the right track, it was a simple matter of understanding how to complete the process. The consultant has explained to use how to rectify the situation and has been hired upon contract completion to assist in completing the process and IRS transparency. This transparency includes being forthcoming with the error made to the IRS and reporting this year’s 990 activities. We will deal with any potential issue with integrity this may cause as we have gone over the set limits for an organization that has not filed. We have chosen to see this as a learning experience, and would like to remind the public to obtain a lawyer or consultant when pursuing 501c3 status it is difficult to obtain.
By January 1st with the consultants help an accounting of all funds to Selah will be made public, as well as our 990 or 990ez. We will complete status and ask to receive donations direct to Selah only after we have received a pending letter. In the mean time we still have the bill for Hero needing to be paid; donations directly to Hero at Texas A&M will be appreciated and are acceptable. We have been to our knowledge transparent with the public; now that our knowledge has expanded we intend to remain transparent. This is the reason we are publically admitting our error and correcting it with our supporters first, the IRS and state of VA. We will be working on status and fill out the forms needed in January.

After speaking with the consultant we learned the group of haters is people who have been or are presently being harmed by fraudulent rescues. Although the intent of all the individuals is not currently known many of them reacted the way they did due to repeat issues and harm perpetrated by rescues committing fraud and harming personal reputations. We now understand the harm unsolicited cruelty can cause personally and our hearts go out to these people. Unfortunately, the unsolicited cruelty made it difficult to recognize the people wondering if we had just made a mistake and willing to assist us if that were the case.

We did know people would have issues with Hero and the surgery. We determined as a group to save his life and have started the process. We understand people are provided it is polite allowed to express opinions on Hero publically, and that many people have strong opinions on the subject. We are even aware of the fact on many levels the person consulting is opposed to the surgery as well, although polite in her explanation of why. We will be unblocking people provided they remain polite who are welcome to express their beliefs provided it is polite and does not become a debate. If the topic of Hero becomes less than polite individuals will be banned again permanently.

On a personal note, we have been rescuing animals with the understanding until explained otherwise we had 501c3 status. Fortunately, Hero’s medical bills can be covered legally through donations to Texas A&M but Selah needs to refrain from donations. As such Kitty and Richard Martin are asking the community for personal assistance in the form of dog food, cat food and cat litter while we await the proper forms and fees being filed to obtain our pending letter. Coupons for animal food and animal products needed by the family for this time period can be sent to 26 Russell Walk Lane; Greenville VA 24440. Once a proper Board of Directors and pending is obtained donations can again go directly to Selah Ranch.

As a final note on the advice of the consultant we will be seeking Board Members, we now have three unrelated members on the Board of Directors per the Conflict of Interest we will have written up. The consultant has stated we should seek members from the Virginia Community who work in administration and business to expand and goals and growth of Selah now and in the future. If interested in the welfare of animals in the next week as we complete paperwork we will consider applications for directors to assist in our public goal of Christ like stewardship to the animals in our care.
We hope to expand our community support through good faith and public transparency.
