SLEEP COMFORT / Sleep Number bed customers/potential customers beware!!
We paid over $4400 for a sleep number bed with an expensive warranty and after about 3 years the remote feature that controls the FOUNDATION failed.
Guess What Sleep Comfort DOES NOT tell you?
The FOUNDATION is NOT Sleep Comfort's responsibility!! They refered us to Leggitt and Platt (L&P). L&P sent us a new remote control at the cost of $7 for shipping. After waiting ten days for the remote to show up and trying it out, NO JOY! The remote control didn't fix the problem. L&P was only guessing at what part failed. After calling L&P again, they sent us the OKIMAT2 unit that makes the bed articulate up and down. This time shipping was $18. After another 10 days that part showed up. But we can't install it!! The mattress MUST be removed from the bed, flipped over, and the bad part removed and replaced with the new. I am 68 years old and can not lift the bed, let alone move it and turn it over.
Although our (and your) contract is/will be with SLEEP COMFORT, Sleep Comfort WILL NOT stand by the products they sell. They MAY ONLY be responsible for the mattress and the remote features that INFLATE the mattress. BUT THEY DON'T TELL YOU THAT!!!
SLEEP COMFORT will not, I repeat WILL NOT repair/replace, or even help you repair/replace the frame or any remote control features of the frame that will eventually malfunction.

Leggett & Platt, Inc located in various cities in the U.S. and is MOST DEFINITELY affiliated with Sleep Comfort beds and I HAVE the shipping documents to prove it! The parts they sent me came from L&Ps warehouse in Lexington, NC.
In fact, the WEAKEST part of the Sleep Comfort bed we bought are the parts that Leggett & Platt provided to Sleep Comfort. But, in my opinion, that DOES NOT absolve Sleep Comfort of its responsibility to fix ALL PROBLEMS with the bed. But, like the typical citizens they are, THEY PASS THE BUCK!!
And L&P must know how difficult it is to replace the OKIMAT2, yet they didn't tell me they had service people in the San Diego area to do that. They just sent the part expecting me to fix it myself.
