select portfolio bought my loan from accredited from day one a disaster, we made our payment to accredited via bank of america auto pay. in april of 2009 recieved a call from select portfolio for their march payment, first i thought it was a scam never heard of them or done business with them.after contacting accredited i was told my loan was sold to select portfolio and they had [select portfolio] the march payment.
select portfolio kept calling sometimes twice a day they said it was my responseablility to get the payment from accredited, they were told what i was told so they said i had to "open a investigation" after the forth investigation and bank of america proving payment, and so did accredited, finally accredited didnt want to deal with this and said they were through dealing with select portfolio and said they were incompedant. thank god bank of america hung on with us.
each month brought 12 15 calls and all saying i was latge and needed to open a new investigation, and im not sorry to say i would tell them to read the screen and go hump the family dog, and many more times less kind.
3 times they would come back i missed a payment with accredited a year earlier with accredited and bank of america would prove them wrong.
now my third loan resultion person with them he agrees that they see we have made all payments and the calls will stop well wrong wrong they keep coming and he says we cant get you off our call list.
i have put them on the no call list, called to report the harassment to the police the police here says its being done in utah, utah says i get the calls in washington its theirs. if you dont answer your phone the re dailer will keep calling you 4 times a day from 8am to 9pm.
we tell them to contact the people in resultion dept they tell you its your responsibility to report it to them.
so one year later it continues and im getting very good at anger management, thats bull sh*t sorry I blast them its not the callers fault but its not mine either so take it up with your boss

You're dealing with the company formerly known as Fairbanks Capital Corp. ( USA/Curry v. Fairbanks )Document literally everything having to do with your loan. All of the calls, letters, etc. Record the phone calls if you can legally.
If they're calling you multiple times a day, check the WA consumer protection statutes for violations. Since they claim that they received your loan in default, they may also be violating FDCPA as well per Schlosser v. Fairbanks.
Of course, this isn't legal advice and you should check all of this with a good attorney. More likely than not, this situation is NOT going to go away and will only get worse unless you take legal action.
Feel free to drop me a line directly. I'm easy enough to find via the web. Search " Mike D NH foreclosure ".
Hang in there
