Select Student Loan Help It was a scam and i fell for it!! Ripped me off $500 and now owe student loan company a ton of money that I thought was being taken care of by select student loan!! They don't answer the phone and even went to the building where they are supposedly located and there's no office by that name located at that address!!! Los Angeles New York

In 2015 I answered my cell phone to a person named Nazareth from the student loan consolidation company wanting to offer me a way to have my student loan forgiven or consolidated because I was in a forberance and couldn't pay even the minimal payments. This sounded promising and i knew there was a loan forgiveness program I may qualify for because I teach special Education. It all sounded so good and i was told not to worry about getting in touch with my student loan company they would handle everything.

At the time they had my e-sig my signature, asked me for my checking account number and set up a payment schedule with me for $124.00 spread out over 4 times using my credit card number. I should have known then it was a scam but then after I signed everything electronically and agreed to electronic transfers for the one time $500 fee to get started my student loan stopped sending me bills and when i did get something from them it always said payment due 0. Now I just received a bill from SUNTRUST who has taken over my student loan for a $683.16 payment due by 12/1/2016!! I can't pay that and now I'm getting late fees attached to the already $30,000 balance.

I just tried to e-mail select student loan to find out what's going  on with my account and the email address must now be wrong because it keeps getting sent back. I tried calling the numbers many times and it was either busy or the direct line is not longer working. I also had my friend, who lives in LA, drive to the actual address to see if they were there and it was a big building no select student loan was located in suite #623!

Now what am I supposed to do? I'm out the initial $500 I paided them, now owe my original student loan all kinds of due payments and late fees and select student loan still has my bank account number and credit card number!!

I want these people to be arrested for what they have done to me and my life!!~!!
