On 5/6/2011 we were traveling on vacation and the transmission went out on our car.    We had it towed to Sentry Buick.   Since the car was 10 years old we decided not to repair it.   The salesman at Sentry Buick showed us a 2006 Buick Lucerne which we agreed to purchase.   The salesman's name was Jason Pye.   Less than 100 miles away the car died on us and we could not get it restarted.   We had it towed to a Buick dealer in Spatenburg, SC.

It started the next morning but the dealer could not find the problem.   We managed to get the car back home without any further mishap.    However, once we returned home we had the same problem several times and had it towed to a private shop or to a GM dealer.    We were able to get reimbursed for the work done at the GM dealer but they could not find the problem to repair it.   We were without the use of the car for approximately 6 weeks while it was in the shop.    After a detailed examination of the CarFax report, it became clear to me that Sentry Buick sold us a lemon.

When we purchased the car, the salesman told us not to pay any attention to the CarFax report as it was confusing.    We probably incurred about $1000.  in additional expenses that were not reimbursed.   I made numerous call to Sentry Buick but they were not returned.   I even sent them a stack of bills and they claimed they were never received.    The main reason for filing this report is to prevent other prospective buyers from being cheated by this dealer.

"towed to a private shop or to a GM dealer"

Which one was it?  What are the conditions of the written warranty?
