We purchased one of the top of the line Serta Mattress with a pillowtop surface, from a local bedding chain in the Phoenix area called Bedsmart for about $ 3,000 and not long after using the mattress, about 5 weeks, my wife and I noticed that there was a furrow, a small depression, where we were sleeping and a little hill between us that stayed there.

We were hugely disappointed in an apparent high-end mattress company that would market a product like this. We went online and discovered that there were tons of complaints about Serta and the exact same thing, with everybody sleeping in a depression.

We called Bedsmart, where we purchased the mattress, and the runaround began. They had us call Serta, who had us call this mattress inspector guy who came out and measured the mattress and took photos for an hour. By the way, the inspector sleeps on a Sleep Number bed which I found interesting. He says he sees this kind of thing "all the time."

Anyway, the report was sent in and nothing was ever done. My wife called Bedsmart back and they had her call the top manger in Tucson who paid all kinds of lip service about being Real Concerned and would take care of it, which he did not.

Bedsmart pulled the same old routine so many companies do, of passing the buck, trying to wear you down until you give up, which we did. This is the only option left, to warn other people about the shoddy workmanship and engineering that Serta Beds employ and the lack of customer respect that Bedsmart has. We will NEVER deal with either one again and warn people constantly about Serta and Bedsmart. Don't you get stuck with a Serta, sleeping in a trench. It's the mattress that gives you that "sinking" feeling. Unfortunately, we have tosleep in depressions on either side of this king-sized $ 3,000 bed to try and get our money's worth from it. We should have kept our Select Comfort bed as well.
