Beware!! Amex has just found a neat way to finance themselves throug your money.

Here is the trap... Open a Serve account, they even lured me by giving $ 25 to open the account.

Fund it using your credit card/bank accounts. They let you put the money in. After that they block your account by taking recourse to fine prints that you should have used only card in your name to fund it. And the best part is that they will not refund your money ( probably they got these terms written by a third grade lawyer.)

IF THEY REALLY MEANT IT, WHY DID THEY NOT BUILT IT IN THEIR SOFTWARE SO THAT YOU CAN ONLY USE CARD IN YOUR NAME, AND WHAT IS STOPPING THEM FROM REFUNDING YOUR MONEY, EXCEPT THEIR OWN LITTLE CREATIVE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.

Now, you go around to the financial institutions through whom you funded the card and try to recover whatever is possible.

It is time for someone to sue them for making such absurd terms.

In my case, I was lucky as the transactions were not very old and we filed dispute with the credit card company and hopefully, I will be able to recover the money. If not, I will take them to small claims court to recover even if cost me more than what I have with them.
