Service Research Inc Fraud-Bad check for $4992 Mystery Shopper Scam. They want you to cash the check and send them the money by Western Union and Money Gram Grand Rapids South Dakota

I received a letter in the mail about a Mystery Shopper job that I can do to make extra money. In side the letter was a cashier check for $4992.

On the check was a phone number where you could call to verify the legality of the check. You call that phone number and they say that the check is legal and is ok to cash. The cashiers check was on the Bank of Oakfield in Oakfield, WI.

We called information and got the real number for the Bank of Oakfield and the head cashier for the bank said they had over 5,000 of the same cashiers checks. Someone got one and copied it on computer and sent them out to people to be mystery shoppers and fill out a form about how the people at the different stores treated you and so on.

We reported it to our local law enforcement and also called the banks around here to report the checks so other people wouldn't fall for the checks and spend them then have to put the money back.
