Shadow Team Inc Burger Inc./Barbara Burger SCAMS, SCAMS,SCAMS...DO NOT ACCEPT/CASH CHECK OR COMMUNICATE WITH... Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

First off let me say, do not skip this posting, please read! Right now I am unemployed and let me say so many other people out there that have been layed off and out of work are looking for ways to make money to take care of our families. 

About three weeks ago, I recieved an email from John Shadow with Shadow Inc, stating that he had received my resume and would I be interested in a secret shopper job.  My first question to him was how much was this going to cost me?  Nothing!! Well we all know nothing means something. 

He sent me an email explaining to pick a Walmart Store and a Western Union store in my area and I did.  He sent a second email saying that my pay of $300 and the intructions for my report was on it's way. Once I received the check he wanted me to cash it at my bank...umm, HELL NO!! The first UPS package got rerouted to a totally different address by UPS, well my red flag went up.  I sent him an email with the tracking information.  It took him a couple of days to respond.  I received another email saying the package was on it' s way again.  The package came and I was not home to receive it so UPS did not leave the package.  He email me the next day telling me that UPS tried to deliver the package and I needed to go to the post office to pick the package up.

The next day I went to the post office bright and early...open the pakage and the check was for an amount of $2780...it was a cashier's check from Bank of America, I could tell that this chek had been altered, I have worked in a bank and I deal with AR/AP and this was very much altered. Also, there were two different names on the check...if you know anything about a cashier's chek you know the bank makes you sign it before you leave, so the signature has to be the same as the person purchasing the cashier's check!

I went to Bank of America and they took the check...THIS IS A SCAM, I ask for a copy of the check because this has got to stop and I will not stop until these type of people go under the jail...So if you receive an email, do not respond, delete it, do not talk with these types of people.  It is too many ways for these people to get our information...phone numbers, email address, bank accounts.  We have to stop being so naive and desperate for work that we are not protecting ourselves from these criminals.
