Sharp Residential Builders and Contractors ripoff Alpharetta georgia

We purchased a home in this community from this builder that has left us with multiple problems stemming from sub-standard work and did not give us full disclosure as to inherent problems. We discovered upon moving in that the house was 1 and 1/2 inches sloped on various floors. Inside doors were hanging at such a slope as to indicate that the floors were uneven.

We did a walk thru ourselves and noted on the sub floor that the floor was indeed sloped and our expectation was that the builder was going to address this prior to us moving in. After we moved in we found out that the builder did nothing to fix this issue and only after we demanded they fix it did they come in and "lift" the house up from the basement and then up to the first floor to "lift" the second story. After cutting holes in the ceilings and then lifting up "key" areas the energy transfer was tremendous around the rest of the house. The walls cracked and the doorways moved to where they would not close afterwards.

The builder would bring in crews to fix all of these problems and when they would come into our home they would damage our furniture and then put my family in harms way by exposing us to drywall dust, paint and stain fumes and sealing off most of the house with plastic taped across the rooms to try and contain the dust and debris. We asked the builder to compensate us with a hotel and they refused because they said they dont do this for anyone else and for us to live in the house as it stands. I am disabled and my wife called them and told them unless they put us up in a hotel I would have to be admitted into a hospital. They then relented and let us go to a hotel but they didn't pay all the costs associated with our stay.

We are currently having issues with them because they will not honor a contract that we and their agent signed off on for granite bathrooms in our house. They say they will not honor that request because they consider the paperwork they signed off on as an error of paperwork and that they signed the wrong contract. We also told them of our other bedroom closets that are too small to use as they are only 19 inches deep. A hangar is only 19 inches and you can guess the rest as far as how everything fits into these closets that don't acomodate clothes.

While their workers did construction in our house they damaged our personal property to which they paid off on for some articles. They won't pay on damage that was done to our sleigh bed in the master bedroom because they are tired of paying for damages their workers do.

We have on a 3 month basis tried unsuccessfully to get them to pay for the damages they have inflicted on our house along with other issues that have come up when they enter our home to do work and then they damage other areas of our house unrelated to the repairs that they were supposed to have taken care of. They have caused damage to our wood floors, they have painted areas of our house halfway and then leave it until we complain that they paint the areas until it looks like it is supposed to look without all of the paint lines.
