Shear Essence Salon Jacksonville FL Rippoff Jacksonville Florida

I always hated my thin hair, so I looked up Hair Extension Salons in Jacksonvile FL. The Website of Shear Essence Salon/Rhonda Robertson sounded great and very promising. Let me tell you, it was the most unprofessional salon I have ever went to. The entrance of the salon appears very glamorous, the back is dirty, cluttery and disorganized. After being seated in 3 different rooms, the owner Rhonda Robertson finally showed up.

I am not saying she was unfriendly, but also not overly friendly. During the whole procedure she told me how stressed out she was and that no matter what she is going to get her nails done today. Her being in a rush, made me kind of uncomfortable.

During the whole 4 hours, doors wide open, customers bursting in, customers trying to fix the Credit Card Machine, loud and noisy, me being not relaxed at all.......Rhonda did not explain once to me, how to maintain the extensions. I was kind of wondering about that, but OK.

Also she does not know how to cut hair. OMG. I had a picture with a layered cut, she could not do it. Her answer:' well, this is not how I cut hair usually"; Seriously??????? You cant cut layers ??? All she did was, using a razor knife and cut off the ends to bring it to the length I wanted.

After 4 hours the CC machine would still not work, so I had to leave to get some money from the ATM (approx. 10min). By the time I came back, she had left already. Like I said, no word of how to maintain my hair, no "Thank you and hope you come again", not nothing......

Also I was the second customer they ran out of change with, so I had to get a $10 gift certificate for my next visit. No Problem..........Next Visit ???????? Are you kidding me ??? About 1 Week after, the extensions started to come off one by one. Every 3rd day, there were more to come off. I was so afraid to wash the hair myself, I went to my salon to have it styled. My stylist pulled off even more.

Finally I contacted the Shear Essence Salon and wrote her an e mail. Her answer:" Well, I told you about the website. You should have looked there how to maintain the hair"; In other words.......she was so busy to run out of the salon, that she could not find the time telling me that I needed a special shampoo to maintain the hair, otherwise it would come off.

So it is my fault. She does not give her customers a proper and professional consultation and treatment, and tells them.....just look it up on the website. How unprofessional is this ??? Also the way she responds to emails. In a totally unprofessional way for a business owner.

All in all, I can say......NEVER EVER I will go back to this salon, not even to remove the extensions (I will find some other salon to do it). I paid that lady over $ 600 for a crappy job. She ripped me off my money. Do not fall for her glamorous Website. It sounds like the super professional salon......hell NO !! it is not. Not the salon itself, not her and not her staff.
