i currently work for sslc (sheffield safety & loss control). it's funny how gossip travels faster in construction than at a all girls high school. when i heard about the report on this site i decided to put my two cents in.  i will leave out personal info because i need a job.  sheffield has two owners; the one i deal with is a pretty good guy.  the other one, i don't care much for.  they are cheap but most companies are these days.  i got a dui so and i have a kid so i am limited in where & when i can work. on a scale of 1-10 i give the company either a 4 or at most a 5. schedule always changes, you do not get overtime and sometimes work a lot of hours & owners are tight.  good things; i got paid before when their was not consistent work, they do offer benefits & the one guy is pretty reasonable. that is all i got to say in my review of the company.  definately not a career job but a descent stepping stone.
