This is an example of the "long con," involving the exorcism-using-egg technique.

I have hired many energy work practitioners over the years, and have spent a lot of money for their (quite legitimate) work, but apparently I don't know much about psychic fraud. I met these two people while doing a Tarot reading at the Ft. Tryon Park Medieval Festival in NYC this fall, which is usually a reputable spot for practitioners.

But:

(a) after they did this egg-exorcism technique yesterday and sprung on me (yet again) an unexpected request for payment in thousands of dollars, and

(b) after I explained to them yet again that I was down to credit card advances and was having trouble paying my bills (they sat there impassive), and

(c) after I lost emotional control and couldn't stop sobbing as I wrote them a check (for far less than they asked for, but still . . .)

--some bells went off, and it occurred to me (finally) to do some internet research on this technique they used (which I had never seen or heard of before yesterday).

The worst part about all this is that I fail to understand how people can sit there and lie bare-faced to a person who is obviously suffering and in pain, and struggling financially to boot--which they know because they have pushed exactly the right buttons to get the person to confide in and trust them. How can there be people in the world like that? But there are. I am absolutely appalled. And the young girl (Shelby) had such an open face--very sad.

I found it suspicious that they did not give me an e-mail address or reveal the location of the supposed "church" where they proposed doing their evil spirit burial operations. But I was willing to chalk it up to the unique and strange practices of energy workers--of which I cannot claim to know all. Now I see that this makes it much harder for them to be traced. They don't want me watching or participating in their work--because they're not doing anything.

After I discovered through research that yesterday's technique is a known psychic/magical scam, all the pieces fell into place: I was able to stop payment on the check I wrote yesterday. Total unrecoverable loss since October 4: $2,640.

These people are nothing but CON ARTISTS!!!!n You lost alot of good money and that is YOUR fault. There is no such thing as a "psychic" or anything like that.
