Sheri E. Ross, Hearing Officer for the County of Los Angeles LASD Deputy Discharge - 2014 Los Angeles California

 Sheri E. Ross was the hearing officer at three of my civil service hearings that occured between 2014-2015. One of the moving factors behind my discharge as a deputy sheriff were false allegations brought forth by an LA County Public Defender (hereafter referred to as PD) who, coincidentally, is an ex-con himself. This public defender has a 15 year RAP sheet which dates back 15 years +. Among the PD's prior convictings were, but are not limited to, mail fraud, assault with a deadly weapon, bribing police, grand theft auto, burglary, etc. In a statement to LAPD during his arrest in 2012 for making a false 911 call (lying), burglary, vandalism, etc., the PD indicated that he was "in the business of testing officer's and that all his clients were guilty crackheads." The PD's criminal history was not a factor during the hearings because the L.A. County Sheriff's Department's Internal Affairs Bureau colluded and kept this information in secrecy. Regardless, the PD made 3 allegations against me. I used the PD and LASD's own evidence against them which clearly and undisputably vincicated me from any of the PD's allegatins. In her recommendation, Sheri E. Ross sided with LASD and the PD and completley ignored the evidence and facts at hand. The PD was caught in his lies, and Ross ignored this. The PD lied to directly to Ross and she turned a blind to this. At some point in time during the hearings, the PD PROMISED to provide a set of documents that were incomplete. It was a set of my cell phone records. The PD never produced them even though he promised, UNDER OATH, he never did. In her final recommendation where Ross sustained my discharge, she purposely lied and added two entirely unrelated charges that were never factors in my case. Furthermore, she indicated that the use of force was a factor in my matter and the use of force was never a matter in my case. Ross further lied when citing that an alleged call i made lasted 21 minutes when in fact, the evidence clearly reads that the call in question lasted 21 seconds. I have tons more to add as the lies and misleading information goes above and beyond. Ross has no place as hearing officer for the County Of Los Angeles. She is not qualified for this job. What is more troublesome is to think of how many other county employees she has done this to. It is my inderstanding that Ross is a hearing officer for the City of Los Angeles and the City of Santa Monica ( parking hearing officer). I filed a complaint against Ross with the L.A. County Civil Service Commission in June 2017. She cant get away with this or continue affecting peopes lives in this negative and negligent manner. One can only imaging how many folks from the City of LA and Santa Monica have been victimized by Ross.....
