As I tried to refi my home, I found these clowns had placed a lien on my home. When trying to clear up the mess starting with Sherman Acquisitions, who placed the lien, I got passed around to the companies listed in this rip-off report. Each could only send me to the next, except VENTUS. They said it was closed, but sent me back to Wells Fargo.

Wells Fargo, of course said they would never sell a debt that had been discharged, right! They rightly sent me back to Sherman Acquisition the originator of the lien, but they have no information so they can't comment and tried to send me around the their other companies. I can tell this is going to be a pain in the butt. All for a bogus lien.

Sue 'em, I hope so, we'll see.

Michael, Immediately send a DEBT VALIDATION request to each party involved, and get a statement from Wells fargo saying they did not sell the account. STAY OFF THE PHONE!!!

In this letter clearly dispute the debt, and demand to see the original contract, as well as a complete account history and itemization of charges. Also demand proof that they own the debt including how much they paid for it, as well as that they are licensed to do debt collections in you state.

Now, send this letter by certified mail, return reciept requested. Be sure to put the certified# on the letter itself, and keep a copy for your records. this is very important. This proves what you sent, and who recieved it.

If they fail to provide all of the documentation, you have grounds for a good lawsuit. A slam dunk! As well as criminal fraud charges for the bogus lien on your property.

Also, file bar association complaints against any lawyers involved.
