Shiva Transport ripoff Extra charges damaged goods and home stole items Hollywood Florida

We used Shiva Transport to move from Florida to Texas. This moving company is a SHAM! They charged a lot more then we were quoted stating that we had bigger and heavier furniture then they suspected.

We told them that we needed them to store the furniture for 30 days which they said they did free of charge - and that the stuff would be taken and stored immediately after pickup and would remain in storage until a day or 2 before drop off.

Our concerns began when we started to get calls every couple of days stating that they were on the way with our stuff and where did we want it delivered? We had to explain over and over each time that we had asked for it to be stored. How many times was our stuff loaded and unloaded? And where was it taken? One call was from California!

The real nightmare began when our stuff was delivered.

Most of our plates, glasses etc was in pieces. A dining room chair had had its back completely torn off. About 10 photo frames were broken. Our 2 painters ladders were not there. All of our boxes containing CD's and DVD's were missing! These boxes also contained all of our HOME MOVIES!

Other boxes containing home wares were gone.

The ceiling in our new home was destroyed by the movers when they were carrying the furniture in.

We had a box delivered to us that was not ours and we immediately called the company with all the details as the box contained prescripton medicine. Nothing was ever done.

They made us pay in full before anything was taken out of the truck.

We did everything the moving company said we should do deal with the situation but they gave us the run around and lied at every turn. We have since filed a police report.

It upsets me greatly that a company could get away with something like this. If it were just cd's etc, maybe it wouldn't hurt so much - but we lost our entire home movie collection. The birth of my babies. Their birthdays. Everything gone.

I hope this comes back to bite them. I certainly do not intent to go down without a fight.
