Shopping Essentials - DealPass How to fight back with this scam marketing approach! ripoff Des Plaines Iowa

I recently received a bulk mailing advertisement that warned me "Unless you cancel, your credit card account will be charged." As with others who have reported here I had never authorized this use of my credit card or personal information. Because I use a very specific email address for any credit card online ordering and a different mailing address (po box) for these orders I was able to trace which company must have passed on this information to DealPass's "Shopping Essentials."

LESSON ONE: Always use a seperate and identifiable email address and even mailing location if you can for ordering on line.

LESSON TWO: Write the Companies who advertise with Shopping Essentials!

I saw a large number of comapany logos on the flier sent me (with my fake membership card for which I did not sign up) from Shopping Essentials. I took the time to email each company for which I could find a custormer service email address stating the problem and requesting they withdraw any association with DealPass and its scam practicies.

The main leverage any consumer has is financial. Addressing your personal credit rip-off is important but also remember "where the money goes." If reputable businesses which have allowed their legitimate business name/logo to be used in advertising through "Shopping Essentials" realize that their association with DealPass and Shoping Essentials is part of a rip-off scam game, they will withdraw their advertizing connection. Let the businesses which have supported DealPass put the pressure on.
