Shoprider Mobility Products, Aka Shoprider Healthcare Sold me a power chair which is junk Internet, California

My doctor prescribed a powerchair for me as I do not walk. So the service provider contacted, bought a Shoprider HD power chair for me. I weigh about 430LBs, and the limit for the chair is 500LBs. I have had the chair less than 3 years, and the front axle bolt has broken 2 times, both arms have broken off at least once, and the front cross member on the frame ripped apart from the fram itself. The tires although flat free type have gone slick. I only use the chair to go to the doctor, church, and occasional grocery shopping. It is in the house most of the time for me to get around since I don't walk but just a few feet at the time. Shoprider and or the service provider have given me nothing but grief. Took forever to get the bolt for the axle each time it broke, and once they (Shoprider) sent the wrong size. Then the service provider claimed they would not be working for Shoprider anymore, and so I did not get my yearly batteries changed, or the new tires needed which were slick. I had to get a new service provider to work on the frame issue. I talked to a member of the Shoprider team, an engineer about the design of the chair for people my size, and he agreed it should be redesigned. I need a chair, and it is important that it work. I welded all my life, and the welds on this chair are inferior and should never have passed inspection. The front bolt should have been a higher grade, and the cross member in the front which the bolt screws into should be higher strength steel, with better corners to hold it to the frame more securely. I am unhappy, and think my medicaide which paid for the chair got ripped off, which means I got a bad deal. I am stranded without the chair, and am afraid to take it out of the house to even go to the doctor.....but I have to. Never buy a Shoprider product if you are a heavy disabled person.
