I paid this company thousands of dollars for software and upgrades. They eagerly took my money and then sent me a bill saying I owed them more money. They say I owe for additional upgrades. I do not owe them for any upgrades. I have already paid for all the upgrades I have received.

They refuse to listen. They just demand more money. They have an answer for everything and treat me rudely and with no respect.

Now a problem has occurred. The shopping cart software has stopped working and I cannot fix it and it will not let me re-install. I contacted them and they refuse to help unless I pay them the money they say I owe them.

It is curious that the software has failed in the way it did. I would not be surprised if they had something to do with it!

These guys act like your best friend but be aware. They are not to be trusted. I would advise anyone looking to buy shopping cart software too look elsewhere.

I am a customer, reseller, years of experience with Shopsite Co.

I just saw this in a search for Shopsite and I just had to jump in.

Anyone thinking about working with Shopsite software and with the company itself should not give any weight to this ridiculous post!

I've been working with them for years now and they are all professional, respectful and would never ever damage software .... man it's just so ridiculous that trying to defend it is just dumb!!

The software is a little difficult to learn at first and you'll pull some hairs out but once you get the hang of it, it's awesome!! Just research and ask around. Also, their manual and knowledgebase are great!

If you're interested in working with them, go for it, they're a great company and the so is the software.

BTW: I dont work there or have ever worked there!

ShopSite rebuttal

AUTHOR: David - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 29, 2008

In 2002 Steve signed a reseller agreement with ShopSite and as part of that agreement he paid a fee which entitled him to several stores and partner support. After provisioning the initial stores, in 2004 he provisioned an additional store. He was subsequently invoiced for this store every month through January of 2008.
After attempts to contact him by phone failed he was notified in January that:

"Unfortunately with your account on hold you forfeit services that we would normally offer you as a partner in good standing. This includes support and being able to purchase future upgrades and licenses using a reseller discount. This license was ordered by you and used for 3 years. We would appreciate being paid. If you have evidence that you paid for this license already please forward it to me. Our records show it was requested and not paid for."

Then in May 2008 Steve, via his hosting provider, asked for free support and was again reminded of his delinquent account status.

(Note that he implies that we have somehow disabled his store but this is not possible since we do not host his store or have access to his server.)
