ShowTime Casting ripoff artists, liars, refuse refund Oceanside California

At the beginning of Nov. 04, I answered a newspaper ad for Showtime Casting. After talking to Daniel, I was reluctant to sign-up, but he assured me that they had a 30-day guarantee. He said that if I was unhappy with the service, I could get my money back.

After reviewing Showtime Casting's website, I decided it wasn't for me. I tried calling but couldn't get a hold of anyone. So I emailed and snail mailed cancellation letters to them. I then tried calling the beginning of December to make sure they cancelled my agreement before the 30 days. I talked to a man who said he would submit my cancellation to the accounting office at the end of my 30 days.

After a couple of weeks, I got an email We apologize for your unhappiness with our service. I am going to reffer you to our Merchant (basically our bank) and their number is : 1(877) 633-4051. This will speed up the process of your refund, if you go directly through them. Once again- we apologize for this inconvienience. Thank-you for your time with us. So I tried for a couple of days to call them.

Finally I got a recording that they would be closed until Dec. 22nd for the holidays. And, of course, they were not back on the 23rd. I didn't get a hold of anyone till Jan. 3rd ('05). I talked to Jamie who said he was just the cancellation department, and as I had already cancelled he couldn't help me. He referred me to the refund dept. He said to check the website for the number. I told him that number referred me to his number.

I sent Showtime Casting an email only to receive one in return telling me to call their phone number. And of course, I tried and was on hold over a half hour before I gave up. I'm not quite ready to give up on getting my money back. I contacted the San Diego Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint. They had an address for them: 215 1/2 N. Coast Hwy. Oceanside, CA 92054. This same address was listed for several different Companies.
