I bought a 94 Ford Explorer, In the first 30 days the transmission went out they wouldn't do anything I had it fixed.

Then the brakes went out I watched the person change them all four pads were cracked. The bad thing is at Silver Eagle they gave me a inspection and passed it. Those brakes would of never made it.

Next the ball joints went out I also had them fixed. Then the wheel bearins went, all my censors went out, the cadalacit converter went out, At this point I refused to fix anything. I reported every problem to them they were not willing to help at all. They told me they knew the salesman was selling bad cars and still wouldnt do anything. I told them if died on the side of the road they would go get it and they did. Then they were fixing it and asked if I wanted it back. That was at the end of July it is now the end of Sept and the Explorer is back on the lot for sale.

Craigslist Advertisments

AUTHOR: kansasnative - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, December 24, 2009

I was recently looking for a used Nissan Maxima from the early 90s and my search brought me to an ad posted by Silver Eagle Auto on Craigslist.  They had listed a 1991 Gold Nissan Maxima under cars & trucks - by dealer. After looking over the pictures I gave them a call and made an appointment to come out and see the car.  After looking it over I decided that I was interested, but I had a few questions. First and foremost amongst my questions was whether it would pass inspection as I had found several things wrong with the car.  So, I went into their office and asked.

For some reason, the gentleman who had been helping me was reluctant to answer this question and went to get someone else. The man who he brought in to the office to answer my question was the mechanic. He said that they were selling this car just for parts. If that was the case it should have been listed under auto parts, not cars & trucks - by dealer.

I dont trust this business and I would be very weary of buying car from them.

Everything we sell is as is---

If you sold a car out of your driveway and it had problems later--Would you replace parts or make repairs? No probably not---If the buyer came back and demanded you fix something---You would say--Hey buddy----It's like your wife--For better for worse---- Every customer signs a stack of papers saying they understand this---
