Please do not trust this company as they are will stop at nothing to scam you out of your money!  If you do not believe me, just do a Google search on their name and see all of the BAD reviews on YELP or better yet the Las Vegas Better Business Bureau (BBB).  The Las Vegas BBB has given them an "F" rating with over 70 compalints filed!  Here is my story:

On or about Wednesday March 4, 2014 my wife contacted Silver State Carpet Cleaning by phone (702-583-6711) to obtain an estimate for cleaning of the draperies at our primary residence in Las Vegas.  An appointment for an estimate was made for Saturday March 8, 2014 between 2-4 PM.  The representative, who only gave us his first name (Eli), was late arriving around 5:00 PM on March 8.  Eli had no other ID except a Silver State shirt.  After visually inspecting the drapes and estimating the total number of pleats he arrived at an original estimate of $1026.00.  After negotiating the price we agreed to a total price of $800.00 and presented Eli with a deposit of $200.00 in the form of a personal check.  All of this was recorded on the written estimate and signed by my wife. By any definition we had now entered into a legal contract with the company! Eli then stated that a “crew” would then arrive Monday afternoon between 4-6 pm to take the drapes down.

On Monday, March 10,2014 around  6:00 pm a single Hispanic male by the name of Omar showed up  at our door and claimed he was from Silver State.  He had no identification that he was actually from Silver State Carpet Care as he was dressed in street clothes and the old van he was driving had no markings other than a crude sign stating “carpet cleaning”.

Omar stated he had no tools or ladder!  After providing him with a ladder he then proceeded to slowly take down our fine draperies.  After approximately 90 minutes, much of which he chatted away at my wife and I, it became clear that he had no experience in taking down drapes and my wife and I began to assist him to expedite the entire process.  Omar even asked if we had plastic bags to use so he could store the drapes for transport! Unbelievable!

After approximately two hours,  all of the drapes were taken down he then stated that “we” now had a problem.  He stated that the drapes were “dirtier” than “they” thought and that there were “a lot” more drapes than he was told.  My wife and I disagreed as Eli (the estimator) had already examined the drapes and provided a written estimate and the company had accepted a deposit for the work thereby a legal contract had already been established!

After much disagreeing and arguing,  Omar stated he needed to call “his Boss”.  This obvious ruse then degenerated into a back and forth negotiation between us, Omar,  and the supposed “Boss” on the phone (who never stated his name).  When it became clear that company was not going to honor the written contact price and would only settle for more money, we cancelled the check via phone, and asked Omar leave our property immediately!  This obviously left my wife and I in a predicament with all of our fine drapes piled on the floor and nothing covering our windows!  Amazingly, a short while later the “Boss” called back and asked us “to wait a couple of days, Eli (the estimator) was in Mexico and he will be back…we need to see what he (Eli) says”.

Well, that's my story and I have all of the documentation to back it up!  In my case I only lost time and put up with a lot of frustration, but it could have been much worse. I have filed a complaint with the Las Vegas BBB, a local TV channel, YELP, ripoffreport.com, and I am currently looking into a legal complaint with the state contractors board. This kind of ripoff has to be exposed and must be stopped!
