Silveria Painting and Staining Co. Andy Latulippe Changed the hourly rate in the meddle of the project Hooksett, New Hampshire

My complain is against Mr. Andy Latulippe and his contraction company. I have received a proposal-quote to do some carpentry work and exterior painting on my house, which I'm trying to sell. The Proposal was accepted by me at the rate of $55 per hour. After the work began, actually on the next day, Mr. Latulippe approach me and told me that the rate is $55 per hour for carpentry and $55 per painting job. So, instead of $55 it became $110 per hour job. I didn't have a chance but to agree with the new rate, because I was preparing my house for an open house, which was schedule in 2 days. Moreover, I have told to Mr. Latulipe my subject of $1,500 right at the 1st meeting and $55 per hour rate would fit perfectly with my subject.

When the job was finished his workers have left a lot of mess behind: cigarets, cans from sodas etc. Besides, they did very poor job on the house. I had to work for another full day on my own to finish their work.

Mr. Latulippe presented to me an invoice for $2,870.00 Again, I agree to pay that amount and gave to Mr. Latulippe 3 checks. However, after reviewing their work hours I realized that the total should have being $2,475.00. Immediately I have called Mr. Latulippe and told him his mistake. He has refused to listen my point, but instead start treating me with the police and his lawyer. I have paid the total of $2,500 to his firm and put stop payment on the reaming balance of $370. I will not accept this type of business attitude and harassment from anybody.
